How many files have you authored?
 

I guess you can include other rhythm files you have made (osu!, frets, beatmania). Right now I'm sitting on 4 files I hope to one day build a library of hundreds of mediocre files like most of you.

Also, as part two of this question, what makes a simfile great?

But uh It's probably somewhere around 28 or so.

Flow. If it flows like garbage there's hardly a point in playing it for me. But the chart also needs to suit the song.

generally, the major things that make a great chart are:
- technical accuracy
- captures the "essence" of the song
- flows well and is fun to play

do these 3 and you're pretty much set

I've made 50-60 plus about 10 wips that are just sitting in a folder

Eight files so far, but I have about 10 more that are WiP. All are made for feet though.

Interesting fact, those eight files have a total combined playtime of ~5 hours.

The sad thing is I believe you because you're ridiculous.

between ITG, PIU, SM4/6, and Guitar Hero (one actual keysounded chart that I lost back when), I should have at least 100 files finished to my name, haha.

I've released maybe around 40 or 50 or so including my older files, but I have the same amount of files that never saw the light of day because they were either bad or unfinished.

I have 155 folders in my /songs file. Taking out duplicates and adding some that I've lost keeps that about right.

The best way to make a great file is to make sure it doesn't suck ass.

~15. I don't step very often, but when I do, it is music that I typically enjoy (which is unfortunately not suitable for many rhythm games).
