The worst nightmare ever, I can't avoid goods due to a glitch...

Something is wrong with my computer and I'm screaming and about to pull my hair out. I've done everything to fix it, followed all advice, and still somethings wrong. There is no lag it seems, but at least 3 goods per song are unavoidable, I even hit goods in excite bike when going for a AAA, and this is not due to my PA, oh no. I hit one hand jumps (ex. up right) perfectly and it says I split the jump, which is nearly impossible with a one handed jump hit AT THE EXACT SAME TIME. It's randomly giving me goods when I KNOW I hit the note perfectly, it's no longer just 'well maybe my PA is shabby'. I can't even AAA Excite Bike or any song, my computer HAS to give me at least ONE good every 50 notes, no matter what I do. I can't take it! I will never be able to AAA again at this rate! Anyone know what could possibly be wrong? I swear, even Rubix couldn't AAA Excite Bike on this computer. And this is my only computer now and it's the same one I played with before, what could have happened to it?

What operating system do you have and did you recently install any new software such as an antivirus program?

Hey stavie, welcome to the frustration club! TC_Halogen seems to be also getting random goods not due to lag, as well as myself. I have yet to see a SINGLE theory from someone (except myself) why this is happening. I made a theory earlier that it was due to the lateness of just about every song with my new laptop, but you know, you might be suggesting that there is yet another reason unrelated to lag and late-synced songs. Suppose that a manual syncing option is implemented into the game, and I still get random goods. I just can't see myself sucking this much at FFR. Something's going on.

So this is happening to multiple people? Not good, I'll see if I can find an answer or duplicate it.

if my PC was like it used to be, I could AAA Sirius in no time, now I was lucky to make it out with 2 goods, even though I know it would have been a AAA otherwise, and I can't AAA the new onoken song because random goods. This is also making it hard to unlock the new skill token as it seems to enjoy giving me goods and not averages.

Kind of funny how we can believe that getting good is the fault of the game and not us. I agree with you though, it is probably unreasonable that you'd be getting such terrible goods.

what TC said: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...13#post3344013

what I said: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...d.php?t=115329

And I can't diagnose a single reason. It's basically just getting random goods as if someone had bad luck. Except it's happening all the time, preventing AAAs from everything but the easiest of songs. New songs aren't any more AAAable than old songs.

Re: The worst nightmare ever, I can't avoid goods due to a glitch...

A couple weeks ago I was getting boo misses for no reason. On any song at all I'd get at least 1-2 boo misses for hitting a note. My only guess was that for some reason the game displayed an arrow that was technically supposed to be there but didn't register somehow. I hit the note and it gives me a boo for the note not being there and then gave me a miss...

Flash is just crummy.

Well thank god that every key I hit does register (and the game doesn't "add" an extra boo or anything additional). It's just some sort of accuracy mechanism that's being affected. The elusiveness of getting goods anytime is annoying; I wish there was more direct evidence like your example suggests.

Every so often the game will give me periods where I get boo misses for like five seconds and then it's fixed for a while but thankfully it stays away long enough to get a few songs in usually.

It seems you and TC are having the same problems I am. It's really annoying too because I have new songs to help lower my average rank and to go for the AAA and I can't no matter what I do. I can't figure out what's wrong either. I'm beginning to think we should start an FFR reform project, down to flash and the code, because on PC's when Flash games and FFR are slow and terrible, stepmania functions brilliantly for everyone. Why should FFR be different? The engine may need fixing, idk, but this accuracy thing is really annoying.

IMO, I'd be happy enough if there are some people who could investigate into the issue and find answers (whether it's a solvable issue or not).

That name makes me lol. It makes me remember when he tried to bs a score on Cash Cow in a tournament with MS Paint. A blackflag was rank 2. xD

How onsync are the simfiles on your computer stavie? In the thread I posted requesting an offset option, TC_Halogen showed that my suggestion was entirely possible and Velocity appears to have confirmed that...hopefully he'll try to implement it in the near future (I don't know what they do behind the scenes). At that point, I'd like to see how much better my scoring is with a properly adjusted offset.

The file don't seem that off, but they probably are, because I noticed that hitting the notes 'on time' results in some goods thrown in, but when I hit what should be early enough for a good, I get perfects, I can hit a whole 2 frames early on every note and keep perfects going, actually, that's how I AAA'd Big Blue v2, now it's not early enough to notice, it still feels like I'm playing 'in sync', but I know I'm purposely hitting a little early to make up for what feels like lag/offsyncness, so yeah, I can totally see that being it. I'm just wondering why this happened all of a sudden with FFR's revival

You should show more info, like OS/Browser/Flash version/CPU/GFX board and driver.
