10. Judas Maccabeus- LIGHTKNIGHT924
11. The Grinch- MIXMASTERLAR
12. Ebenezer Scrooge- DABACKPACK
13. The Bumble- ANTORI

Actions:

Night 1
Sunfan- checks funnier6 [Result: GREEN]
Funnier6- spins dreidel [Result: PEH]
Svaz- checks DaBackpack [Result: RED]
XelNya- spins dreidel [Result: NUN]
Mellonxcollie- spins dreidel [Result: NUN]
Antori- spins dreidel [Result: NUN]
DaBackpack- spins dreidel [Result: PEH]

Synopsis of night 1: Not everyone checked in… a pregame phase would have been helpful but also would have taken another day or two and I think people want to get day 1 started asap (there’s not really much difference between night start and having a confirmation phase imo)

The odds of only nun/peh happening are ˝ * ˝ * ˝ * ˝ * ˝! I simply used random.org’s random number generator from 1 to 4: 1 is nun, 2 is gimel, 3 is hey, 4 is peh.

Day 1
With the master wolf and a vanilla human in a KITB, I could easily have just offed the human to keep the game closer and nobody would know. It turns out I kept too much power in a single wolf and (perhaps crucially) the wolves weren't told the roles of their partners, just the names. I think losing a wolf before the Kinara is fully lit is just too costly in this setup. I also didn't consider the cost of removing N1 kills.

Night 2

inDheart- spins dreidel [result: GIMEL]
MixMasterLar- spins dreidel [result: PEH]
Thesunfan- seers charu [result: BLUE]
Lightknight924- spins dreidel [result: GIMEL]
Svaz- seers thesunfan [result: BLUE]
Wolves- kill inDheart
Antori- spins dreidel [result: PEH]
Mellonxcollie- spins dreidel [result: NUN]
Funnier6- spins dreidel [result: HEY]
Charu- shoots XelNya [result: DEAD]
Dabackpack- spins dreidel [result: GIMEL]

Night 2 synopsis:
Both of the seers got good hits tonight, with sunfan finding charu and svaz finding sunfan. That’s about it, but these *technically* random dreidel spins aren’t doing it for me. I want more variety. At this point it seems wolves are relatively doomed.
I accidentally screwed up and sent charu a vanilla human PM :X I blame the forums Kappa

Day 2

Somehow a failure of communication occurs and MixMasterLar gets insta'd. It was fun to watch, sorry MML :3

Night 3

Funnier6- spins dreidel [result: hey]
Wolves- kill funnier6 [result: DEAD]
Svaz- seer Raeko [result: GREEN]
Thesunfan- seer svaz [result: RED]
Antori- spin dreidel [result: nun]
Mellonxcollie- spin dreidel [result: nun]

Night 3 synopsis: things continue to happen- wolves kill funnier “out of spite” and also to work towards a game plan of removing green vanillas.

Day 3:

Svaz is revealed to be red and that's pretty much it. With Svaz going down it's funnygurl vs the world. I don't have high hopes for anyone vs the world here.

Night 4:
Thesunfan- seer Nakah [result: GREEN]
Nakah- one shot role seering on DaBackpack [result: Vanilla Human]
DaBackpack- one shot role seering on Raeko [result: Vanilla Human]
Funnygurl- roleblock DaBackpack, kill Antori

Night 4 synopsis:
Well, maybe if FG had killed sunfan and blocked nakah there was a chance there, but realistically funnygurl was dying over everyone else anyway just for being less towny.

Overall synopsis:

Haha my bad

wolves got super unlucky with basically everything EXCEPT for the intentional RNG. This game was originally designed to be hosted on NSM, and I think that if I was designing a game specifically to be played on FFR I wouldn't have made some of the design choices I did. Typically NSM is less willing to lynch reds when there's a <50% chance of wolf there, so maybe I should have added a fourth red player to more strongly disincentivize red lynches here.

I also put too much power into master wolf, since I figured wolves would prioritize saving numbers for when the kinara went off (a perfect game for wolves would mean they reach parity on Night 4 with that extra janitor kill), but they lost both a number for parity and the extra kill, which was probably way too punishing. Also, the sleigh driver ability never got used so I basically forgot how it even worked.

The dreidels ended up being fine, with only 2 "confirmed humans". The real point of the dreidels was to keep humans active, since a lot of times people getting a vanilla human role PM feel like they have nothing to do and no way to solve a game. In the hands of FFR they probably became a little too potent, but the idea was so entrenched and entwined with the concept of dreidels I couldn't really think of an alternative.

Player synopsis:

Wolves
I feel like you aren't very invested in games when you roll wolf- you didn't even vote for self pres or basically do anything, but I hope everything's okay. Not much else to say.

A lot of people hard cleared you for bussing Wayward day 1, but Sunfan was right and even made the connection to Vendetta21 (I think?). In this case I agree with sunfan and think that bussing isn't going to be a good play, but I generally prefer to play a numbers game and don't worry about town cred.

Something I hear from better players than me is that it's wrong to play wolf in the way you play human, if you even consider it possible. Sometimes as a wolf it ends up being better to make plays that help you win, even if "town me" wouldn't make those plays. If you're worried that flipping off of wayward is something that you wouldn't do as a human, don't be. Not everyone knows you as well as yourself, and I really think jumping onto charu or someone there is a better play even if it doesn't make you seem as towny. That being said, you did put in a ton of work to try and make sure your town cred stuck. You get Wolf MVP!

I know everything seemed hopeless (and it kinda was), but I appreciate you not replacing out even though you wanted to. Wolves ended up being kind of screwed from the start, so don't take it too hard.

Humans
Sorry for screwing up your role PM, fortunately it didn't matter too much as the vigi was offline N1 anyway. I think your shot was good in a vacuum especially when looking at your train of thought, so I don't have any criticism for you. Solid PR play from the birb.

AND IIIIIIIIIIIIIII
SAW MOMMY KISSIN' SANNTA CLAUS
UNDERNEATH THE MISTLETOE LAST NIIIIIIIIGHT

oh what a laugh it would have been
if you had actually seen
wayward but you thought that he was green

I mean, your seering targets were good, your play was good, your reads were more or less spot-on, notably catching svaz on the bus. My only real criticism is that you were probably softing seer a little bit too hard, as evidenced by inD picking up on it and PMing you. If he had been a wolf, he probably would have just killed you and not approached you haha. Later in the game, you also had the advantage of being a confirmed human while *technically* hiding your identity as seer with the swaps, so I will award you Human MVP for all around outstanding play.

I always have so much fun with games that you're in, even if you can tend to be a hothead. I think people tend to have trouble reading you and maybe it's just because you're that good when you're a wolf. I would like to see a game where you actually play to your full potential, but I realize that's not always possible because of IRL. Good game!

We needed one more person and you were willing to jump in to fill the game. I can't thank you enough for that. You also wanted to replace out because the game was getting rough, but I'm glad you didn't because sunfan really likes you apparently xD

Overall I think your play was good if a bit passive. Raeko was coming on a little bit strong, but she did have a point. We might be seeing the reverse of when I showed up at ZeldaDungeon- I was trying to read anything and everything and rely on general heuristics, and here you were struggling to read people without relying on meta. I don't know for sure, just a consideration. Spending time playing mafia on multiple forums can perhaps help you rely less on knowing people's behavior intimately. Thanks for stepping up!

OOTC games just do this thing to you where you suddenly play way more aggro. Watching you talk to Nakah and Funnier gave me huge flashbacks to my first game here, where I was set on evanescence/freezinice/soundwave and you, freezin, and soundwave basically bullied me into trying to lynch sunfan :(

I don't necessarily think this change in attitude is a bad thing, but it does tend to make you uncooperative and you (along with backpack) were unknowingly going against the seer trying to lynch funnier and nakah. It's good that you were trying to get funnier and nakah lynched in a sense, though, because (speaking from experience) it helps players realize that sometimes they need to consider that other people don't know their role and even though they're human they need to be careful about what they say.

Hopefully you didn't mind duo queueing too much. You were pretty passive this game, but you ate a random wolf kill which was good. You also scared sunfan, which is probably something for a highlight reel. Speaking again from experience, you're pretty scary when I'm wolfing. You're also fun to play with, so hopefully you sign up for games on NSM too :D

HUMAN MVP CONGRATS DUDE!!!!!!!!!!

Lol, sorry, it's not happening this time. You have a quirky playstyle that I really like to watch, even if it's not the best to play with. You can often be confusing and misinterpreted, and that's definitely something you can work on. I'm glad you signed up though cause man it's been a while.

I totally understand where you were coming from when you were contacting Antori, and it wasn't at all your fault you died. Consider (though it's a bit more risky) reaching out to more than one person at once, because you can definitely trap wolves with these kinds of secret PM plays. You were a good sport about dying and helped make spectator chat a bit more exciting. Thanks for signing up!

I was considering you for human MVP because of your spot-on analysis and reads when endgame came around. However, you lost it for a few reasons- first of all, ASMR is NOT inherently sexual, you need to stop with that. Secondly, you were kind of tunneling a bit too much on funnier, and a player at your level probably should have been able to pick up on the seer vibes sunfan was puttin out (like inDheart did). Other than that, great job, it was a bit spooky listening to you drop the hammer on svaz in voice chat. I loved that bit!

You made a few mistakes here and while they ended up being not too costly in the grand scheme of things, MixMasterLar's blood was on your hands this game. I think you're doing a good job of being town read, and you are dropping some spicy read lists. You can definitely work on how you interact with players and maybe branching out on different ways to look for wolves (since you said you usually like to find partnerships). I would suggest looking for people you can trust and actually starting to build town circles. Yes, you can't *technically* trust anyone, but having a town circle and building a process of elimination can really make the game a lot easier. Sometimes you'll be wrong, and that's okay! In the meantime, I'm glad you've started playing TWG, you're a lot of fun and pretty good at it :)

Could the game have been better balanced? Definitely. Would it have been as absurd or fun? Subjective, but naaaaaaaah. In hindsight I would have made the three wolves equally powerful instead of stacking it topheavy and making the third wolf vanilla.
The dreidels were risky, but I think it was tough to balance them any better. Consider a bastard game where the seerings may not always be accurate...

Anyway, thanks everyone for playing, and the next time I host the game will be much tamer by comparison.

If you intentionally spun the game a certain way using RNG, I would advise you not to do that.
EDIT: I'll send you a game

Do you mean with the dreidel rolls? That is a lot of gimel I suppose, but I think the way it's designed the wolves need to be closer to an endgame scenario by kinara lighting or it tips pretty drastically in favor of town thereafter, even with the wolves boosted (though I suppose it might've been different with MW)

I mean, thats just rng, forcing it to work one way or another out of "less boringness" is still unfair to players, and takes away trust from the host rolls

Pls no rng bias

Re: SEND ME GAMES THIS IS NOT A JOKE also postgame here

Flashflashaccount your a great host btw. Sunfan totally deserves MVP this game, I'm just proud I was read human and able to survive a game on the green side because it has been forever. I would really like to play this exact game again sometime in the future, with perhaps some twerks for the benefit of the red team to give the humans a greater challenge...a lot of what screwed them over was just bad luck from the start...but this game's structure is really solid and fun for any holiday occasion, especially because the buildup to the kinara lighting is a really fun element.

Also I agree ASMR isnt sexual lol, I didnt even know what it was until it came up in the news the other day...and to me it seems more like being lull'd into a hynoptoc and suggestive state off of the comforting sound stimuli...which must change brain wave patterns.
