Thank you!

And.. sent! One and only file. Hopefully this will go through! Trying to promote my friend's awesome music and learn to step at the same time! :)

I submitted a couple, but did not specify the difficulty

Should I resubmit them and specify which difficulties they are?

I think mine are... maybe a 2 and a 3.

Are 145bpm 16th trills too fast for 5/6? Also, 145bpm 16th roll?

No the difficulty will be determined by the judges anyway. People don't even have to post in this thread that they sent anything lol. But it's good to see how many people are sending stuff in we really need the easy files.

Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open

Everyone is saying how much we need (relatively) easy files, but with that, are the judges going to be more lenient in distributing the points, or are they going to hold strong and still only take the best? (This is probably a foolish question.)

Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open

There are still standards no matter what. We may need easy files but that doesn't mean junk files should go in. The judges are pretty well rounded. Plus if your file doesn't make it right away you can fix it up with the judges notes as guidelines and resend it.

Well, standards are very important, I can agree with that. One other thing, where should I keep myself updated with how judging goes when I send it in?

This is where the notes go http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...d.php?t=114965

unless he does a special one but I don't think he will. Jimerax will let everyone know what the deadline is for judges notes and they'll go up usually on that date or a day or two after. :)

Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open

I have a file ready for this batch. I think it'll be a hard 6. (I have an alternate way of stepping the jacks in my file if the file ends up being harder than a 6).

However, I forgot to put the two second silence at the beginning of the file. Can anyone show me how to do this so I can submit my file to the batch and won't have to ask again in the future? Thanks.

PS) Would I be able to use Bach's music for FFR? Does anyone know about copyright laws..? The one about artist dying and music being public after X years..

it's okay if the original recording is by the artist after 70 years of said artists' death

if someone performs his/her work(s) though you need to give credit to the performer / ask them for permission

then again, midi is always an option

I think you'll need to set your arrows offset to 2.00 seconds, or just move everything back 2 seconds in DDReam. :)

Wow! I recognized the song right away.. it was one of those I've heard hundreds of times before, but never knew the name. :) Thanks for the link!
