I have a few more Spontaneous Contests planned to keep this thread lively in the meantime, but there's a number of reasons I gave myself a few weeks until the tournament starts, and one of those is to see what the signups are like before I finalize the division structure. I'm trying a division structure that (to my knowledge) hasn't really been done before so please bear with me.

It's just a game, enjoy it man :)
You can even win credits with Individual Round Scoring if there happens to be a file that you're good at, don't have to win every round to be a winner with my system.

lol don't feel that way. What matters is if you're having a good time running the tournament and the participants are liking it.
Achieve that and the size doesn't matter, those who are in the tournament will appreciate it all the same.

p.s. if you want a larger tournament, it helps to have a good hype machine. Your avatar taking over half the site can be a nice start 0_o

Don't forget, all the songs for this tournament are gonna be new and posted on the Indeed engine. That's pretty refreshing for people who've played a ton on all the songs on FFR in their difficulty range.

Custom Tournaments turn out to be much more interesting when you have new files that people aren't expecting (this has been the case with my brutality tournaments)

Just my two cents, I don't have anything against other tournaments but the ones using songs that are in the official game turn out to be less interesting because I've already played all the songs to death rofl.

I'll give this a shot, but keep in mind I have regressed a lot since the time when I was able to get VC AAAs regularly and one or two FMO AAAs. Are we allowed to wrangle for divisions?

As for the moment, you are allowed (and honestly encouraged, helps me a lot) to suggest a division you think you should be in/want to be in. I will almost always grant this if you wish to be higher than where I was going to place you.
Either way I will definitely take what you say into consideration when making the preliminary placements.

Once the preliminary placements are posted, probably early next week, then feel free to PM/IM me and, as you put it, "wrangle" about your division if you are unsatisfied with your placement, or have legitimate concerns (and evidence to back it up) about the placement of someone else.
