Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open

I find it ironic that we're limited to 3 songs in this batch when what we need is as many "easy" files as possible, since they're usually much scarcer in normal batches.

You can still use them, but with great discretion. Also worth noting is that [124] and [134] hand patterns are easier to hit for one-handed players compared to [123] or [234] (thanks aperson for pointing this out).

I'd like to see someone submit Cosmovibe's (sg's) lightfoot song. That song was meant to demonstrate hands in an easy file. And the song's cool too.

Re: Easy Song Special Batch - Submission Open

well that depends on the key settings. I use "bnm," on which [123] and [234] are much easier to hit with one hand

Specifically then, the arrow keys is what's assumed.

Exactly what were you playing when you were 3?

And are we going to get a response to our emails weather or not the song will be added?

Hey, it counts. I started music when I was three.

Never did, never will. You have to keep yourself updated. The results will be posted after judgment is complete.

I've been playing piano since I was three, but I know him personally, so...

Just look at current 1-6 files in game as references.

For everyone to know: Just as an idea, an upper 6 would be the Lion's Dance by Silvuh. Check that chart out.

There's no lower limit of course for an easy batch!

Hands are not forbidden but we'll be a lot more strict in its usage than regular batches.

Just turned in two submissions. So tedious hahaha.

I wasn't expecting this at all... I'm lucky to have stumbled upon this thread on time!

Sent my file, but this begs the question: why aren't you guys using the front page more for events like this one? It will surely go unnoticed. If you want to attract new members, or get 3 submissions per user, why aren't you actually making sure that people are aware of it? I mean, it's a special batch, not an easter egg batch! :P Didn't you make this an easy songs batch because you were short on them in the first place?

Might try, but where can we find it?

I suggest learning how to use DDReamstudio. (download the thing here: http://www.mediafire.com/?82al94e5ot6sfy2)

It might feel weird when you use it for the first time, and 5 days might be a bit short to learn how to use it properly and squeeze out a nice easy chart (which are hard to make D: ), but Youtube has good tutorials. I highly suggest you use this tool over any other. You can use your mouse, have keyboard shortcuts, see the waveform of the song, etc. I'll never go back to SM, and I bet you won't either.

I offered the song to Kayla, who'll likely step it.

Also, I agree about the lack of front page posts...there haven't been any for a while now.

With less than a week remaining, I don't think DDReam is the viable choice for everyone to learn how to efficiently sync a song. (if you want to learn about DDReam, watch who_care's youtube tutorial)

If you can visualize with waveforms well, then go for it.
