You guys shouldn't feel too bad; I'm getting sucky results for my own songs too. Put aside the point system and just think of it as a learning process. Speaking of which, I've noticed that there are several new simfile artists in this batch, which is a great sign.

that's true^^ my ++ wasn't from anybody I think I've ever played a file from, and then there were some not-good-but-you-can-tell-they-just-need-experience files

I've had files in various batches for the past.. 4 years? It's hard for me to think of it as a learning process and it's especially more difficult to keep motivated to keep trying to get even one file in queue.

sigh

That is a posibility ;.;

Sure is. This does bring to light though our point system in a counterintuitive fashion where getting too many [--] will reduce the number of points you get and hence the number of files you can submit. I suppose though that if you're being serious about stepping, this shouldn't happen, because [--] are only for files that "waste the judge's time" (i.e. joke files and crap).

This is the only slight gripe I have about the point system - it's not entirely encouraging if you happen to do badly but still want to step files.

Date you mean? Well, the deadline for judges to submit files is by the end of the month (31st). Just wait a bit.

sync got better.

add 2 sec silence to the mp3 and set offset, then resend the file.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2

k fixed that myself, now we have no conditional files.

EDIT: fixed submission rule #5, added #6.

Finished judging (unless I need to do more songs). If my count's right:

[+] - 8, including one [++]
[+.] - 8
[+?] - 8
[?] - 1
[-] - 1

I didn't do the 8/8/8 thing on purpose. Pretty funny though.

Thank you qq! Halfway there, 6 more remaining.

edit: nope, make that only 5 more :)

This could happen if you put utterly offsync notes (wrong bpm/rhythms) throughout a 3 minute song.

I'll most likely get to judging this weekend since I don't have much homework and I'm not sick with a cold anymore. Will probably finish notes by Sunday.
