So yeah, Episode 3, one word = filler. I mean obviously it's a filler and I feel as though the MLP writers haven't necessarily been able to come up with the creative ideas they used to have in the first 2 seasons, although I guess that's natural. But yeah, considering they have 26 episodes to play with again, I can see this being the case for quite a few episodes this series. The episode in general was OK, nothing too exciting although it isn't a terrible episode. I mean from a personal perspective, I can say that the episode was good, nothing special but nothing I would declare dislike or discontent for. The episode did seem though to be ... recycled in a way. I mean, there were aspects that were definitely recycled. I mean the whole competitive ordeal with Rainbow Dash and Applejack has been a plot around episodes before and again it just seemed as though the writers have repeated plotlines that they've included in episodes from the previous series. I will say there was also a definite element of predictability, I mean with 5 of the Mane Six running around scared, well except for Twilight, it was pretty obvious that Pinkie Pie, the character absent from most of the episode, was the cause of their panic. I did like some of the 'gags' though so to say, gags like Rainbow Dash being scared by what Rarity was indirectly doing and essentially the Mane Six (Four in this case) all scaring each other indirectly. It was a good cycle. I also enjoyed the scenes between Rarity and Fluttershy more than I did the ones between Rainbow Dash and Applejack cause whilst it seemed the plotline centered around RD & AJ, I will say that the scenes with Rarity and Fluttershy were entertaining to watch and showed the developed bond between the two of them, which is obviously what the show is about. Meh, this episode won't exactly be memorable but it isn't as bad as what I've read about from some people.
