Welcome to the FFR poker league!

Hi there :)
My name is Jae, and this is a league I am starting here on FFR to promote regular and varied poker tournaments for all to enjoy and partake in.

The setup will be quite simple, there will be a variety of regular Free games, as well as some Cash games thrown into the mix.
There is no limit to how many you do/don't play in, as long as you have fun and play when you do participate.

In the first month of leaderboards I will be putting up 100k of credits for the free leaderboard, to be worked out on an average of how many games you play->points you receive basis.
(There will be a minimum amount of games required to qualify for this, can't have people winning one and then leaving for the month)
Donations are also welcome ;)

The first step of joining will be to either Login to pokerstars or the software and create an account.


Once you are loaded up into the software, to locate the FFR poker league,
simply click on the 'HOME GAMES' tab, then 'Join a poker club'

• ~ The Club ID# for the FFR poker league is 142069
• ~ The invitation code is synthlight
• ~ Enter your FFR username into the name Field so that I know who you are
  

  (so you can be approved to enter the group ;))

• ~ Check the 'I agree to terms & conditions' checkbox, and click 'Join Club'

Congratulations!
You are now an official member of the FFR poker league!

There is currently a few play money games scheduled until the 1st of February.

Keep an eye on the group lobby and this thread to see when they are running :D


This month is mainly a test so we can get a feel for the monthly points leaderboard and perhaps get more word out and more FFR people interested in joining.

(There is also a permanent play-money ring table setup for members to play on at any time. If people would like another cash ring table setup just ask.) )

This thread will be a means of discussing potential dates/times for games as well as general questions pertaining to joining in on the fun!

Initially it will only be free/play money games. But as the amount of users increases we shall discuss a suitable time for a cash game. This will probably be fairly low outlay ($1.10 - $5.50) as we are looking for some competitive poker, not to try and profit off our friends :)

The only difference between the .com and .net is the .com includes real money as well.

Pokerstars.net is a play-money only site, while .com supports both play and real money.

I am not entirely certain if the .net will work. If someone has joined through it, they should let me know. The only downside of the .net is that you wouldn't be able to participate in the real-money games.

Remember guys, first play money warm-up game will be in just over 24hrs. There is no limit to how many players play, would be good to get a few in for it. Unlike future tournaments, this one will not go towards rankings within the group.

Also: Added the sig linkage by request for people that want to advertise the league

Edit: This thread didn't appear to fit into either the 'Gaming' forum the 'Life and the Arts' forum. And though this subforum is located in 'FFR R1 general talk', it is the 'Tournament subforum'. Seems to be the most fitting place for a league where multiple tournaments will be played.

ddrman: Go to 'User CP' in the top left of this page. Then select 'Edit Sig' from the menu on the left.

Paste the code from the top post and remember to remove the spaces at the end brackets.
There is a 'preview sig' button so you can see if it has worked or not ;D
