New Year Release Event 2019
Hello everyone, I hope your New Year has been off to a great start! To celebrate the start to the 2019 year, we will be having a 4-week release event for January where every Sunday there will be a new song.
For the first release, we have a song from xKore with many bizarre rhythms. This chart is tricky to time and is heavily burst oriented. Stress Musician: xKore Step Artist: Skullbac Song Genre: Dance 2 Style: Dubstep Difficulty: 69 Song Length: 3:10 |
Re: New Year Release Event 2019
I still think 69 is a bit generous. I found it easier than most 68s.

Re: New Year Release Event 2019
my vote is on 68 but 69 is okkk

Re: New Year Release Event 2019
tbh that file could be like a 66 there's maybe 2 bursts that are awkward

Re: New Year Release Event 2019
Approaching mid-January, we have another release for you all this Sunday! This release is more straightforward, with an old-school song from CanBlaster (originally the alias "Stryker") at 180 BPM.

Re: New Year Release Event 2019
holy shit I can finally has orange name
I must say I had no idea how ffr release queue worked so I'm amused a file I basically did in 25 minutes took 18 months to release lol I wish I ended the long jumpstream with polyrhythms instead |
Re: New Year Release Event 2019
grats on author badge, tfw it takes me longer to sync a file then it did for you to make something good enough to be accepted, looking forward to playing

Re: New Year Release Event 2019
The System Doctor was called in to investigate the central computer that was in lockdown after someone blocked it from use with a token that had a certain number. After some searching, the Doctor found the binary string 10011001 which translated to 153 in a decimal system. The token number was 153. There also happened to be 153 missing files in the system that had to be restored, as they were critical to its operation. Any more missing files that were used to boot up the system would shut it down permanently. When deconstructing the number 153, the Doctor realized it was an Armstrong number. 153 = 1^3 + 5^3 + 3^3 After some more searching in the file system, the Doctor discovered that the maximum combination of processes that could run to shut down the system were spawned exactly in batches of Armstrong numbers not exceeding 3 digits. Now all the Doctor had to do was put those two together, and then in the future come up with a second version of the system to be more secure. System Doctor v2 Musician: RoughSketch Step Artist: hi19hi19 Song Genre: Skill Token Style: Extreme Hardcore Difficulty: 50 Song Length: 2:50 |

The post says not exceeding 3 digits but the skill token description doesn't so idk about 1634. Anyway, hope people enjoy my file :) |

Re: New Year Release Event 2019
We finish the New Year Release Event with a behemoth of a chart for this week. Stepped by DarkZtar, Starbound has 9419 notes and is 13:15 in length. This makes Starbound the second longest song in the game behind The Games We Played (Full Edition), and the chart with the most notes in the game. For referene, it has more than double the notecount of Vertex BETA vrofl, and almost 4,000 more notes than The Games We Played (Full Edition)!
In terms of the content of the chart, it is a combination of many technical elements. You will find yourself handling skillsets such as tricky polyrhythms, jumpjacks, streaming, jumpstreams. The last section also is one of the most nerve-wracking streams you will encounter considering the length of this chart; it has plenty of tricky parts to keep you focused throughout. To unlock it, AAA Star. Starbound Musician: Shnabubula Step Artist: DarkZtar Song Genre: Skill Token Style: Chiptune Fusion Difficulty: 94 Song Length: 13:15 |

Re: New Year Release Event 2019
I'll probably always consider Starbound my magnum opus in terms of charts that I've sent in to FFR. Probably spent close to 20 hours syncing and putting everything together and I'm glad to see that people are enjoying it for the most part.
