Naruto

Yup this thread is about the blonde headed track suit whereing Ninja, Naruto.
I want ur opinion about the show and if u like it or not.So far there are more than 100 episodes in the series.
I think its pretty good besides all the filler arcs.

Moderator Edit

After discussion, we've decided to play the game like this.

This is the thread for any and all Naruto discussion. It cannot be discussed anywhere else. It cannot be mentioned anywhere else. It cannot be referenced anywhere else. Do not even speak of its name anywhere else.

If there is a Naruto post outside of this thread, I will merge it in here and warn you not to do it again. Yes, I even mean in the "Favorite anime" threads that keep getting re-re-re-created every three weeks. Frankly, if your favorite anime is Naruto, you haven't seen any real animes.

Carry on.

Re: Naruto

Naruto, in Japanese, is a pretty good show.

The travesty of a translation job it got, especially with the vast amount of content editing the US version has recieved, is worse than the American version of Dragon Ball Z.

Re: Naruto

I watched the first 3 seasons or so of Naruto.

Never again will I watch a shounen anime (yes, I know shounen refers to other stuff as well, you know what I mean).

I still can't believe I wasted my time with that tripe.

Well the books are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than the show, its shows more and thees alot of action

Re: Naruto

Unfortunately the show still has no direction and therefore it's still terrible.

I, like Moogy, regret watching as much as I did. Believe me, after the first two or three episodes following the filler, it's gonna suck again.

Re: Naruto

Kill the bad guy.

It's a crappy story. I foresee this show going the way of Inuyasha. And Inuyasha was such a terrible show that no rating I could give could express how large of a waste of time it was to watch the entire thing.

Re: Naruto

Definition: Shounen/Shoujo cartoons (based on Disney's business model): A cartoon movie/television series whose only purpose is to sell merchandise to preteens, though recently the market has reached a much wider audience in the United States due to the ever growing culturally ignorant otaku fanbase. Similar characteristics of Shounen/Shoujo cartoons are multiple seasons in which nothing really gets accomplished, and a razor thin, generic plotline in which the main character is of the same age as the market audience.

I like Naruto. I'm not going to try and argue with anyone about why I think Naruto is good or whatever.

However, I don't think this is fair. I could narrow down countless animes to just "Kill the bad guy". I could narrow loads of animes down to a one sentence nut shell sum up. Fair enough you and 98.9% of this forum doesn't like Naruto and I do respect that. I think you know that's not all there is to it though.
