Halo Wars

I haven't heard anything on when Halo Wars was coming out. I know its some time around Feb-June or something like that. Though I couldn't cough up anything from the people at Game Crazy. I would really love some Info about it.
Give me a website or something please! :D That's all

Also see my Halo3-Foundry Maps Thread.

Re: Halo Wars

This is the RTS, right? From the videos I saw, this really doesn't look like anything special. Until they show me something new they're bringing to the table, I'm going to pass.

Re: Halo Wars

Well they say its like a Halo version of Command and Conquer 3. And I like that game too, so i'm looking forward to it. And yeah, its an RTS.

Re: Halo Wars

It should be interesting to pit the factions of Halo against eachother in an RTS type enviornment. I am/was/still is a huge Command and Conquer fan, so I'm looking foward to this. Hopefully it won't fail.

But I already own C&C3, why do I need a reskin of it? That's pretty much the point I was trying to make.

Re: Halo Wars

I haven't seen hardly anything about it, is it like star craft? or is it turn based?

loucst 02-28-2008 05:20 AM

Re: Halo Wars

Its probably turn based. Or both. That would be kind of cool.

Re: Halo Wars

Knowing Ensemble Studios, it's going to be live action.

I don't think it's going to be that good simply because of the way Ensemble has turned into a generic game company. Yeah, Age of Empires II was good, but after that it went downhill with the generic games.

Re: Halo Wars

There hasn't been much on Generic games either. But i personally think Halo wars should be on PC.

It was at the beginning of April but it got pushed back, now it's sitting at either June or July, I forget which.

I'm not the biggest fan of RTS's but sadly I'm a bit of a Halo not so I'll give this a try.

Re: Halo Wars

It isn't a dumb idea, and you probably haven't bothered reading any of the books but they certainly have all the material available to make an RTS.

loucst 02-28-2008 05:37 PM

Re: Halo Wars

I bet it would be even better it the Halo Trilogy started off as an RTS Game. And they do have the needed material for a good RTS game.

I don't follow RTS games, so I'll pass on this one. Though it does seem interesting.

It really is. Check out the website!

Re: Halo Wars

I still think having a RTS for a console is stupid. The real micromanagement that needs to happen in a good RTS can only happen on a computer, where the mouse is much more manageable.

On a console, everything just goes tooo slooow.

Re: Halo Wars

Thats what i said earlier. I mean Command and Conquer was pretty good even for a console RTS. But i really think it should have been on PC

I believe Bungie is working on a new game but they said it had nothing to do with halo =o

Command and Conquer wasn't for console lol. Actually, they did make a version for N64, which I did buy but it wasn't to great. Like Xandertrax said, the real magic happens with computers.

I'm still really looking foward to this though, regardless of what platform it ends up on.
