Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Open!)
so if you got rejected from the new artist batch, if you resub something, is it a resubmission, or does it count as a whole new submission? (same question from another batch)
|
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Open!)
it counts as a regular submission. there are no resubmissions for special batches

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Open!)

Also, a new notification was added to OP. "After this batch, Hard song special batch will open. You can't submit files that you have already submitted to regular batch to Hard song special batch." P.S. To Niala, What are the artist names of these songs (not written in the dwi)? Jumper (Waterflame, I guess but need confirmation) World Revolution |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Open!)
Question: Is the hard song batch going to have a normal number of stepfile submissions allowed per person, or is it going to be reduced?
I remember there being discussion at one point of limiting the number of files in hard songs batch even beyond the normal submission caps. My problem is that I'm trying to decide which files to send for the regular batch and which to save for the hard songs batch. I have 4 hard files I want to send in over the next two batches, and I want to know if I can save all four for the hard songs batch (my submission limit is 4) or if the hard songs batch will be even more restricted and I have to submit the easiest among them now in this regular batch. Thanks. EDIT- Also, am I allowed to send in my minor fixes for my conditionally queued files Battle on the Big Bridge and CmR for free this batch, or will they count toward my max of four? Still kinda confused hehe |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Open!)
I'm pretty sure you can send in fixes for conditionals whenever you want.
|
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Open!)
The hard song batch will have a submission limit of three.
You can send fixes of conditionally queued files anytime. Since they're already technically accepted, they're not new submissions. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Open!)
As for queue'd/conditional queue'd file, like others said you don't have to "resubmit" the file to the batch unless fixed version is significantly different from the original. You can send the fix anytime before its release, basically.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Open!)
Make each one a collab with someone, then each file is only worth half as much towards your file cap :p *cough loophole cough*

No really, I'll do it legit, just keep submitting the ones likely to get ++ and raise my cap as fast as possible. The REALLY annoying thing is when someone submits their steps to a song I have already stepped but not sent in, and before I can even send mine their file gets put in the game and it turns out my steps without any debate would have been way better, that shit is what really gets to me. I wish there was some system to prevent that, after all you want the best files in the game right? Happened all the time way back when, especially Silver_Brian... >_> |
Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Open!)
First come first serve...you really can't debate that. Choose carefully then.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Open!)

I doubt you'd find many people who say they enjoy continuing to play a bad file if a more enjoyable one was also completely available. Just doesn't seem particularly healthy for the game. Another bad side effect is it creates a HUGE dis-incentive for me to share the permissions I get for this site. There are a handful of artists I've obtained permission from, but I refuse to share who they are and what the terms of the permission are until my file gets in the game. This undoubtedly sounds selfish to some people (probably because it is a bit) but if you've had hours and hours of work "sniped" like has happened to me you might feel the same way after a while. How am I so sure that my files for these artists are the "best?" I'm not! (That would be awfully cocky) I fully accept that there are many people out there who might do a better job with the songs I've chosen. BUT in a first-come first-serve environment I have to take what I can get, and I don't like my work being wasted if the file that gets in does turn out to be inferior. If there was a system to prevent this from happening, I would be glad to share my permissions the instant I got them, knowing that my file would have a fair chance against anyone else who wanted to step that song. In that case I wouldn't feel my work was wasted, as at least everyone with a file for that song got a chance to show their stuff and the best file won- I'm not going to argue with that ever, even if it wasn't my file that was chosen. I prefer the game has the best material. Anyway, the system probably isn't going to change just because of my complaining, but I hope people at least see my predicament. It's hard wanting to help the game grow as much as possible, but also actually trying to follow the rules (arbitrary as they may be) p.s. I ALWAYS choose carefully!~ |
