Early Release Special Batch

[Early Release Special Batch]

This batch is complete.

Submission Period: May 2nd - June 30th

Submission Criteria

Please send song submissions to the email below.
specialsubmissions@gmail.com

The criteria for submissions is the same as the regular batch rules such as song artist permission and submission formatting (remember to attach zip or rar files, no links to external sites or we will reply back requesting the attached submission). You can think of this as a regular batch where the accepted charts will be released in the next nearest regular release.*

Release Process

How this will work is the following:
- The charts submitted in May will be assembled for the judges to look at, and accepted files will be released in the next nearest regular release.*
- The above point will also happen with the June submissions, but with the May charts having precedence.

*Next nearest regular release means that for the next song release that's not related to a special event such as an Official Tournament, the accepted charts in this batch will be released if the timing is at least a week in advance. A good example to illustrate this is that if the next song release was planned on June 20th, and the chart is accepted before June 13th, it would end up being released on June 20th.

I submitted a file to the FFR tournament just yesterday... should I resubmit?

You should only submit to this batch if you think your file wouldn't make a good fit for an Official Tournament chart. The OT Batch has a range for files that would be suitable, so you're better off leaving your chart in there.

SENDING 5 FILES

So these are for files that are not related to the official tournament? Also why not use the new submission tool?

Tough luck because I'll send all the files I couldn't finish in time for the tournament batch!

But yeah, I'm actually curious if sending them here will necessarily mean they won't be picked for the tournament.

when will my cq file be judged? as the only cq from this batch, it seems to have slipped through the cracks. been nearly a year since the initial round of judgments and i'm still in pending fix hell.

Judgments have definitely gone slower than I anticipated and I apologize for that.

What I can do later this week (first few days will be really busy) is ping the judges about who is available to take on other sets in this batch and also address the Pending Fix you mentioned.

Following up on this: I pinged the original judge that looked at No Time For Sleep. The list of other Pending Fixes can also be found in this post.

If I don't receive a response in a certain period of time (I'll see how it goes), I'll take on reviewing the changes.

James May reviewed his assigned Pending Fixes which includes No Time For Sleep. The file is now Accepted in addition to the two others. :)

There we goooooooooo

Submitted fixes for Miserable Bastard

Re: Early Release Special Batch

Thanks for the review gold stinger. The 8ths only section follows a bms style layering for the 3 independent voices which I know isn't exactly popular in ffr

I'll send an update based on the notes + a little pr & pattern improvement on intro/outro.

Re: Early Release Special Batch

Goldstinger has accepted the five sent Pending Fixes as of August 4th:

[9.0/10] Miserable Bastard {Terminal 11} - fixes are clear, good to go.
[7.5/10] endleSSStation {Yuuyu} - Looks good.
[9.0/10] L {Ice} - Adjustments to this song are adequate.
[8.5/10] Longinus {Xi} - is good. 32nd trill has been sufficiently fixed, okay with keeping the jumps in regarding explanation.
[6.5/10] Yamada Stream {kommisar} - 16th trill 1h patterns were fixed, BPM notes weren't exactly followed, but the sync fix on the stepartist's part works.
