CYOA Random Edition

(in case anyone doesn’t know, CYOA stands for choose your own adventure, which means you get to pick what happens in a story)

okay so i’m going to try to pick everything randomly in the story including everyone’s choices using random.org (i’ll randomly pick a choice *edit* whenever i update the story (there’s no time limit on voting anymore) {i’ll try to update about every 3-4 days;} if only one person comments with a choice i’ll just choose that one automatically)

first of all, i’m going to choose the gender of the main character; for this story, i’m going to choose among 3 genders: boy, girl, and nonbinary; the result is...! boy!

secondly, i’m going to randomly choose the main character’s age between and including ages 0-122 (since that’s the oldest independently verified age of everyone who’s ever been alive); the age is...! 104! lol

*edit* furthermore, i’m going to randomly choose the main character’s name; first of all, i’m going to choose what letter his name is going to start with: and the result is...! A! next, i’m going to search for a random name on google that starts with A using a random name generator; and the result is...! Amar!

next, i’m going to randomly choose the setting; for the setting i’m letting other people vote for it; you can vote for literally any setting

*edit* (after people vote on this i’ll start making up a story)

see you tomorrow hopefully! :)

This man has been working on becoming a blacksmith for over half a century. It has been one of Amar’s lifelong dreams to become a full-fledged blacksmith, but his master is extremely strict and won’t let him become a blacksmith until he knows the trade at least as well as his master. Amar has been working as an apprentice ever since he graduated trade school in his twenties. Before he knew it, he’d lived to be 104-years-old.

Amar and his master, Larry, deeply respect each other and have been friends since shortly after they met. When Amar met his wife, Clara, when he was thirty, Larry was his best man. Amar and Clara spent the rest of her life together, and they had such a happy time. They had a lot of similar interests, and they always could find something they enjoyed doing together. Unfortunately, Clara died fifteen years ago from a heart attack. Amar misses her very much, but with Larry around, he’s been able to keep living his life.

“Amar, could you get some steel plates for me? We need to make five sets of armour for five different people.” “Sure thing, Larry!” Amar walked to the storage area in the other side of the cabin, smiling to himself about how lucky he is to have such an amazing friend. The storage area had rows of strong, wooden shelves with all kinds of different metal plates. The cabin also has hardwood floors and a simple glass window in each room. Amar picked up each of the steel plates and carried them to his master separately. When he was finished, Larry smirked and playfully punched Amar in the arm.

“Who are you going to bring to the Lovebird Ball? It’s coming up soon. You can bring me if you like; I promise not to let you trip too much.” “Hey, I only tripped one time in my entire life! Give me some slack!” “Never, I will never let you live that down!” He laughed boastfully.

How does Amar reply concerning the Lovebird Ball? Remember you can choose any option including choosing not to go to the ball and that Amar hasn’t decided yet.

Amar reply "I think i'll invite Éva-Rosa" (Éva-Rosa is suspected of sorcery and is living isolated in the wood since many years)

Re: CYOA Random Edition

“I think I’ll invite Éva-Rosa. She lives by herself and maybe she’ll enjoy the company. Besides, it’ll give me a chance to get to know her better since I’ve never met her before.” Larry responded, “But how are you going to find her? No one knows where she lives and she only comes into town about once a month.” “You underestimate my power my tracking skills. Give me a week; I’ll be back by then.” “Okay, but please be careful. Wouldn’t want you to die before you become a blacksmith.” He smiled faintly. “I’m so happy that you’re thinking of spending time with someone else besides me since your wife died.” “Well, I figured it’s about time. And it’ll be good to have a change of pace once in awhile.” Amar paused. “I’m really going to miss you.” “You too, Amar.” They both smiled at each other, trying but failing to hide how worried they both were.

Amar got a big bag inside his house and filled it with all the essentials he could think of: canteens of water, a week’s worth of food, an oil lamp, a pillow and some blankets, and a week’s worth of clothes. He then started walking to the forest. However, after walking for an hour in the forest, he sees a tiger!

What does he do?

well, if he's been working the forge for 84 years i assume he could beat the shit out of a tiger, but continue.

not without a weapon he couldn’t, and i doubt his body would be okay after fighting a tiger considering he’s 104

Re: CYOA Random Edition

so you're sayin this 104 year old blacksmith didn't have the wherewithal to bring a dagger or something with him into the woods near his home, knowing tigers were there? or are tigers not usually there? is this modern times or ancient times? is it biblical times in which people live to be 500 years old? i still think he could punch the tiger in the head. what is it, the shao-khan king of tigers or something? the tigers i've seen at the zoo looked malnourished. come back when you know how to make a CYOA drizzle. i'm just messin with you. the story is pretty good.

aww thank you :) and he never fought anyone before, and tigers are only found in the forest in this story; also i don’t really have a set time for the story but i think it’s in the early 1800s; wild animals can be ferocious and i doubt one punch would do that much if he can even be fast enough to punch the tiger in the first place
