Skill Tokens Already Earned but have not received
 

Hi guys,

Just wanted to check what you would do about things like this, this is probably the only one I care about ATM (there is probably more I do not know yet) with skill tokens you have earned before they were introduced. Now this one here I have clearly already done (2009 probably) but since this new skill token has been added over the years it hasnt picked up that I have earned it. Now I am not as good as I used to be (I probably could earn it again) but not the point, how can I get around this? I just want to play this one for tier points anyway,

if you earned it before the requirement was added, you don't get it, you have to do it again

if you just got it, reload the engine and look again

Yes I understand how it works, what I am saying is I earned this years ago and surely I shouldnt have to do it again just to get skill token? Really bad set up if that is the case, which is seems to be.

Nah, it makes total sense. you shouldnt be awarded with a token for past accomplishments. That would be kind of dumb, dontcha think? lol

try going to your profile, and click on Token Levelranks

(I think that's how I unlocked my The Games We Played Full Edition)

Well yeah you should, because you have already done it lol? Wouldnt really care if it was an easier song and I was still as good as I used to be. Plus I have a bunch of stats to catch up on still and it seems silly AAAing something I have already ticked off years ago.

Also I apologize op, I noticed a similar situation between us but I chose the other route of re-earning the tokens anyway so I don't know why I even said anything.

Tokens are usually not retroactively awarded, otherwise I would have Fractured Sunshine.

Also, I imagine some tokens would be difficult and/or annoying to retroactively from a coding perspective since the current system, to my understanding, works by checking if you've satisfied the token requirements once you reach the results screen.

Skill tokens are meant to be "challenge" content, so they are not awarded for having already completed the requirement prior to the release of the token. Achievement tokens, on the other hand, are awarded for reaching certain milestones and are awarded retroactively.

This is the nature of these tokens, and it's why we don't just give people skill tokens if they already completed the requirement.

They may be challenge content, but again the challenge has already been done. So you have to re do the hard challenge again to get the token? I am sure they will bring out one where you have to AAA Reality to get one (which I will probably never do again). If it wasn't "you have to AAA this song to get it", it probably wouldn't matter, But the fact that you have to re do something because of a new token sucks. I am sure most other game engines would already register that it has been done with no excuses lol. Ill check back in a months time I might be able to AAA it again (probably not i'm washed up)
