Loading file names and folders with unicode characters
 

Figured I may as well make a thread about this since it's kind of its own issue.

So I got the SMOC8 pack and it fails to load a ton of the songs because there are unicode characters in either the folder name or any of the files inside of the folder. Does anyone know how to make this work without having to manually rename all of the files and folders?

I've already renamed everything, but I assume this will break compatibility if I ever tried to play those songs on SMO. I'm not entirely sure though since I have no idea how it figures out what songs you have in common (checksum?).

I had this problem in the past with Lunatic Rave 2 as well but I don't think I ever figured out a solution for that either besides renaming everything to remove the characters, which is where I got the idea from.
