Find a song you're in love with, 20 minutes tops. Go XD

Personal record time for stepping a file that was kind of short and I loved the song was roughly 25 minutes. Had most of the chart already mapped out in my head before I started though.

The Result of votes so far (0=no, 1=yes w/ fix, 2=yes).

Gotta Catch 'em All (SKG_Scintill) - 1001221 (7/14)
Scavenger (Plan_Bsk81127) - 0122010 (6/14)
Metro (DossarLX ODI) - 1002221 (8/14)
Famicom Selecta (Dark Chrysalis) - 1122112 (10/14)

from this we'll accept famicom so far (maybe should be in conditional).

Okay, my connection borked out when I tried to post this last time, so if I end up posting this twice, sorry.

Ack, that's the one track of his I was working on stepping, haha.

Anyway, what I got this time:

Sleet - Torley Wong: Another live piano similar to Rain and Snow. I noticed another similar one called Nightfall I'll step for the next not-special batch.

The Gateway - Ikodo Moonstrife
Fatum Anima - Ikodo Moonstrife
Okay so I really like stepping his music. It's nice orchestral trance and yeah.

Serenade of Storms - Blazing Dragon: More live piano. Song of Storms and Serenade of Water mixed together. It's pretty slow but it builds up nicely.

An Unwanted Magician and a Cheery Rebel - Koirankuje: I found this artist on dA and she does SM and art and music and ... This is a theme of two of her characters, and I'm doing a BG for this as part of an art trade. Thought I'd step it, and she said it'd be fine if I sent it to FFR. If accepted, this could be released in the New Artist batch.

Resubmitting A Battle for the Sky and No Salt.
I'm still confounded by the rhythm guitar stuff in ABftS in the break and aaaa. But the rest should be better. I cut it.
I messed with the levels and added a little bass into No Salt. Hopefully it's not so totally boring now. Wasn't sure what else to do with it while still making it an easy-chart friendly track.

P.S.

I said earlier I wouldn't judge for the next batch, but I think I'd like to keep up the work. Being involved is just too rewarding to skip. So I'm in.

Ievan Polka is in-game and your submission cap is 2 iirc. So you can only send in 2 files :<
(collabs count as .5 file)

sry

i love you 02-6-2011 06:26 PM

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2

Doesn't he have 8 files in-game though?

If so, then that would give him 80 points right? Correct me if I'm wrong

TC_Cyrenics 02-6-2011 06:28 PM

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2

Files only count as points toward the submission limit for batches AFTER the rule change. I don't think it's retroactive.

Sorry.

I'm pretty sure the 10 points for getting a file into the queue is a one-time thing, but not sure.

Just going to put this out there, but I don't really like the current batch cap system.

Just 10. OP says a file (or more). I thought I had 40 points, at first. :p

After that, you get +2 for 18/20 or more, or +1 for 17/20 (basically, you'll get +1 for every accepted file, or >= 2, if you do it well). I was confused too about the system but once you read everything in detail, it makes a good amount of sense.

Seen it 8-) looked pretty good.

Curious to see how the Spitfire situation will be handled. I thought the new system meant if you got a file in after the new set-up too.

it's since the batch re-started, so all points start at 0 fresh without all previous files you have in game
