Been playing for a while and my improvement kinda stagnated. how do i git gud?
 

Ive been playing for almost 2 years, with a lot of hiatus (maybe about a year of being an active player)
Im not asking for a magical answer to get higher scores, but i just wondering, am i doing anything wrong? because i cant seem to get any better.
i play two handed and my speed is 2.33.
I wouldnt have asked, but my grandtotal rank is half of my ffr rank.
any tips you got for me plz?

Think of it like going to the gym. If you go to the gym once a month and when you go to the gym you don't push yourself do you expect to get stronger?

Go to the difficulty you're stuck at, then go two numbers up. Worked for me, and look how i turned out!

To be fair, I don't think he has a great grasp on using this site. He's commented on his own wall. While it's about the equivalent of liking your own Facebook post, consider he's half my age. Most of us didn't have the site workings 100% down when we started playing over a decade ago.

Btw, since i dont want to make a new post (and by extension start getting too much attention) i often get more perfects than amazings, and i heard people saying that's not supposed to happen. for example i got 57 amazings, 63 perfects 18 goods and one of each of the rest. Can i correct this?

If you are lower skilled, like around d1, this can be the norm. Otherwise, after playing a song to completion, on the results screen you should right click the left side of the screen where it shows what speed you played at, and enter the first number into your global offset.

it could just be offset, heres the timing window in fiffer (keep in mind its upscroll)



so the amazing window is actually a bit infront of the receptors, which is sorta weird for me personally, thats why i use a negative judge offset, which shifts the amazing window onto the notes themselves

I disagree, i think the only reason you should ever have more perfects than amazing is if your timing window is messed up, or you are reading it wrong and your settings are messed up, no matter what level u is

Enter whatever number is after Accuracy get when you right click into the Global Offset in your settings.
My global offset for example should be .5
