FFR Rap battle sign ups and voting
 

Hello FFR, welcome to the next rap battle. This one will be a little different than last time. This time, the community may choose what song we will be using and what topic to rap about.

So far, thanks to icarus moth, we have 4 to choose from here (https://soundcloud.com/icarusmoth/se...e-sens/s-x5pu8) I have a friend working on a beat, as well as I heard choof might be working on one too. Don't worry, your choice of song can be changed. A final vote count will be done at the end of the voting period. As for topics, please be reasonable with them. The last one was about pizza for example.


As for the prize, I'm putting in a first place prize of $30 bucks for either an internet site, like steam or Amazon for example, or I can PayPal you directly. (In that case, I'm sending you via business and YOU will take the PayPal fee). Anyone can add in more prizes if you desire, the bigger the prize pool, the more contestants I would assume.

Voting and sign ups will end one month after being accepted. I will put the date in this post when that happens(EDIT: JANUARY 3RD is the end of signups/voting. 11:59:59pm. If you participate, you can not vote yourself, obviously.

This would equally be a fun contest to see.

Though, my only suggestion is let people pick their own beat tbh. All those beats are good and would diversify the competition a bit, but there's also some other stuff that'd be cool maybe.

Picking your own beat would be cool if it was a contest. But a battle needs to have all raps done with the same beat

Someone pm'd me asking to clarify a few things and they can't receive pm's. So I'm posting here hoping they see!


So, in the OP (original post) I have linked songs that we can use to rap to. Anyone can put a vote onto which one they would like to use or would like the contestants to use.

Secondly, we have to all rap about the same topic. The last contest was about pizza for example. So something that could easily be relate able to everyone, but isn't too broad.

Thirdly, after the song and topic are chosen, you write your own rap, and record it anyway possible that you can, then you upload the song with your lyrics over it to a site that plays music files, or even youtube if you want to make a video along with it.

You guys should rap about net neutrality, relevant, lots of directions to go in and material to use. and you can dis what's-his-name without offending anyone cuz fuck that guy.

Also both net and neutrality rhythm with a lot of words.

Funnygurl, feelings would make the songs more personable. I was thinking about going that route if New Years ended up winning. Think it might add to the fun and challenge if I took it semi seriously instead of memeing it.

Man my laptop sizzled right when I was getting into the rap game boys. I was about to bring that noise too... Gl guys, I know you can do it! Not hard to make epic raps with the right software just gotta put a little effort into it.

Best thing to do that balances quality with simplicity is go to a quiet place with good acoustics, place cellphone at key distance from speakers playing a beat, hit record and sing close to the mic. Today's cellphones actually have wicked good encoding for this kind of stuff.
After you get a recording, upload it to ur comp and use Audacity to chop n screw the heck out of it, it works extremely well.

Ok guys. Looks like its gonna be new years, and the song being used will be gold.
