Thanks to Sprite- for putting this form together for all of us!

The people with access to record scores are Sprite- and nois-or-e. Feel free to notify myself in this thread or via PM/profile message if you have a score that you would like added. (Don't notify Sprite unless he gives you permission to do so.)

When using the form, double-check to make sure everything is filled out properly. If a score is sent incorrectly, it will not be added.


Prerequisites:
-Your score cannot be from the old LD engine.
-You must have a non-0 score on the song prior to adding an unrecorded score. If your unrecorded score was your first attempt at a song, play it again so a score can be added to the database; you will be notified through this thread if you need to play again. We will remove your submission if you do not obtain a score higher than 0 on the song within 24 hours.
-Note that your score will display a PA of 0-0-MC-0-0 to indicate that it is unrecorded - if you don't want to see this, you might want to improve your score on your own. Tying or beating your personal best will display your PA again.
-You must provide a screenshot. Screenshots must show the game and member-count/server time, as well as your screenname.


PROPER SUBMISSIONS
 Without standalone: Contains the user name, server timestamp, and the game screen all in one shot.




With standalone: Also contains user name, server timestamp, and the game screen all within a single window.




Velocity's engine: Contains user name, in-game timestamp, and game screen, all in one shot.




Other notes:
-Your submission will be deleted if it does not contain the necessary elements in the screenshot. It is your job to read these rules before submitting.
-If your unrecorded score was supposed to unlock a token and the score is recorded through this form, you will not be given the token. Send a message to Sprite- with proof of your token unlock and he will give you the token.
-Consider improving the score on your own if it's not a major improvement.
-When posting a score, be sure that it is an improvement on your previous score, as your old score will be erased.
-It may be wise to save the image you upload in case we don't accept it by mistake and you want proof that it had all of the requirements.
-If you happen to improve your score during the time that the score is posted (or make a mistake), find the picture you submitted, and click the [X] button to erase it. (See image below.)


-Abuse of this system will not be tolerated. A one week ban or longer will be issued for obvious joke submissions.

So if we posted in there before and it was updated on the old OP, should we transfer our screenshots over to this thread/method? Or is AJ just going to take those that were already in queue to be fixed and bring them over.

Whats is a .jpg? Is says I must submit that instead which I dont know how to do.

EDIT: I just saved it has a .JPG and it still didnt work.

This is what it looks like when you save.



Click the drop-down menu underneath where you title your picture, click the one I indicated and click save.

Make sure the filesize is below 512 KB. Also, the extension might have to be .jpg, rather than .JPG.

You also have to fill out all of the other information too.

How do I lower the KB? I filled the info and did the .jpg thing but it might be to big. And I dont have a .jpg option. There is only .JPG

To lower the KB size, crop. Best way to do it. Or to not have too much special stuff in it, just the necessities.

Nevermind its 228 kb. So I have the right KB. A .jpg attachment, and filled out everything correctly. So now I dont know.

is your file .JPG? or is it .jpg? Case sensitivity might actually matter here.

I thought the same. The extension of the file can screw things up.
Like I had a .PNG in my stepmania/themes/default/graphics folder but it didn't show unless I renamed the extension to .png

Yeah that's probably what it is. Try a .jpg without spaces and any non-alphanumeric characters.

It worked finally!!! I guess it was the 6-0-0-0 crap and stuff I put in it. I resaved the image to "Beadumaeganunrecorded" and it finally worked. Thanks for your help guys and sorry for being a pain if I was.

Just added my unrecorded AAA on Dimensions Of A Square (I hate that song lol).

EDIT: I just went to check my levelranks and I noticed it still registered somehow O.o? How can it show that it didnt register when it did?

Is this a proper SS that I can submit?? I don't have some of the stuff but I can't get anymore as I closed the window.. but I just got this about 12-15 mins ago when FFR went down for about 1 minute.

Okay, this is genius. Great idea guys, glad to see it working.

Now for my concern...I play on an offline engine to reduce lag....can I get those scores uploaded somehow? It won't be many, but some (like my 2-0-0-1 on Black Key Etude and my re-FC of Electro Rush x8 v2) would be nice to get up there... Is there any way I can upload those as well? I don't have a log-in box, because the computer with the offline engine has no internet...but it is the only way I can play FFR without lag, so it is what I use mostly.

Thoughts?

Nope, online engine only. You won't get any less lag with an offline engine than an online engine using the standalone.

Still lags miserably...with and without game booster, with and without graphics changes on the computer... I guess I'll just go without recording scores, because I can't get anything good on any online engines with the lag. If you would like, I could even make a video showing you the lag difference..

ps...leet post count.

These are opposed to the 9-1-0-3 I got yesterday, and the 25-15 good runs I had today...
Firefox is the best out of the three so I guess I will keep trying that...sometimes it lags a little less than other times.

justin, you need to open that .swf link in a standalone flash player, not a browser.

Flash 8 is pretty tight, some people get better results with 9, but try to avoid 10 ;)

so uh, i got the ffr standalone to work.. this might be very dumb, but how do i get the standalone to play with my account in it ?_? atm all scores are unrecorded because i'm logged in as Anonymous.

You have to be logged in under IE, make sure the remember me box has a check in it and log in.

I logged out of firefox, and i logged in my ffr account on the IE browser, then i closed and opened the standalone flash player.. still comes out as anonymous. Is there something i'm missing here Lol

If you're on Vista/Windows 7, in IE open Internet Options, Security tab, uncheck Protected Mode. Then try logging in again with Remember Me checked.

The exact same thing happened to me this morning. I AAA'ed Jeanie and Caroline and the score apparently updated in the standalone, it even showed up the top rankings windows but when I refreshed my levelranks it was still at 4-0-0-0 (my old score). Had to AAA it twice :/

If you want this score recorded, please play the file and obtain a score above 0. I have added an extra rule to the OP. Anyone who submits a score on a song and still has a score of 0 will have 24 hours to fix it.

Not sure if it's the appropriate thread to ask that but I'll give it a try.

I just used the compare with feature recently to make a list of every scores that was better on my old account (Etylukah) vs Hakulyte and I was hoping to get the remaining ones moved. I played everything on that list too so there's no score with 0. I was also expecting to get my levelranks reset on Etylukah so we stop seeing me and my alt everywhere in top scores.

Added the rule about screenshots from LD's engine -- although at this point, it seems like no one is reading anything from here.

Sprite-, is it possible to get all of the prerequisites and requirements from this thread over to that page so that people can see the actual rules? It just seems like people are throwing up screenshots however they want at this point.

Good idea. And also: you don't need a time stamp using the legacy engine, do you? It has the same date thing that velocity's engine has.
