Can we trade up to cards we don't necessarily have yet, or is it an RNG thing?

Can we trade down cards?

Well, when stuff like this happens when you're trying to get the correct settings on a new machine, you become pretty sure you're nearly right.

This was a very upsetting good, in all honesty.

These goods I don't mind as much: the song's so beautiful.

And lastly, I need to check and make sure my inputs aren't getting eaten from time to time; seems as though some of these misses shouldn't have happened.

I'm going out to eat so I won't be by a computer to do it, but here is how Trading Up works:

Let's say you have two rarity one cards. You may sacrifice them to obtain 1 random rarity two card. To go from Rarity 2 to Rarity 3, you must sacrifice 3 Rarity 2 cards. This costs increase caps at 5.

This raises your average card value but lowers your card count. It's a decision to make as a player to what type of collection you would like to have. The trade in costs make it a value neutral exchange; no value is gained or lost by trading up.

If someone wants to invent a card game using this, that would be awesome :p

Hmm trading down would be an interesting concept as well, but could easily get out of hand. Considering a difficulty 10 card could turn into 350,000 potential individual cards, I would have to say no.

Same could be applied when people ask to trade 350,000 cards up to a difficulty 10 card.

Also you haven't really answered my question whether or not RNG applies to getting a new card when you trade up. Are we allowed to pick what new card we can trade up to?

There's a lot of credits in this idea if someone has the dedication & patience to throw together cards for every song in the game and then script it into a playable card game..

RNG is applied, just within the given difficulty being traded up to. For one, no one will ever get to 350,000 cards, but 1 in 1,000 cards or so should be rarity 10, which will happen eventually. Trading up is a lot easier to maintain and only requires 1 RNG pull.

Also some achievements would be too easy if you could pick them.

Re: FFR Trading Card Game (C2)

If you want a formatted code version, here you go. If not, no hard feelings.

Rarity Table
Code:

Song
Difficulties        Rarity        Value
1-9                1        1
10-19                2        2
20-29                3        6
30-39                4        24
40-49                5        120
50-59                6        600
60-69                7        3000
70-79                8        15000
80-89                9        75000
90-98                10        350000
99                11        1000000 (Trading up not allowed)

Also maybe phrase the OP "Each challenge can only be completed once" rather than "Challenges can only be completed once"
