Oh shit. I didn't know you can double stroke with the Taiko drumsticks -- or at least, that's what it looks like he's doing. That would make the drum strokes considerably easier.

(For comparison, the world record speed for single strokes vs. double strokes is 1208 in one minute vs 1744 in one minute.)

That is exactly what he is doing, and technically he could do it twice since there are two sides to the drum (two accuracies, red and blue, with the option of using the left or right to hit them). Say, he could hit double on both the right and left sides of the drum, resulting in 4 hits instead of two.

Also love how in each video the player wears a mask.

Vertex is a special player to me personally. Ever since I saw Etienne's video on him (also one of my favorite players) he has been my spirit animal. Vertex has inspired me in terms of play and in life to an extent. He was MY AGE when he started exploding in a outdated play style. dude did not deserve the crap that he got from the community. i hope you're doing well in life Vertex.

I can't even understand the skill a lot of rhythm gamers at the top of their respective games are putting out, but I can say for certain I haven't seen something as jaw dropping as this in years

- Dynamo
- Opkiller
- Dossar
- Samurai
- Staiain
- Hakulyte

Even though they are differently skilled, imo these were all monsters, especially for 4k.
