Once you're finished with those, wanna step one more song?

What did you have in mind? If you want, I can put it in queue and release all of them together as one pack to Justin_ator.

Re: Team Pony

Just a remix (well, more of a remake) of Renard - Intensive Care Unit I did a while back. I thought the song would relate to ponies (Intensive Pony Unit).

Re: Team Pony

Oh... That song. Sure. Why not? I sense so much jumpstream potential in it. (That and the song kinda got stuck as permanent background music for me when I first heard it.)

oh god 5 songs in a row, AANNDD there's a new pony episode tomorrow.

Songs:

We Are The cutie Mark crusaders (8-Bit), So Many Wonders (8-Bit), Winter Wrap Up (8-Bit), Art of The Dress (8-Bit), Intensive Care Unit (EarthLight Remix).

LOL @ DJ Earthlight's intensive care unit remix. It's 97.56 BPM. Expect 32nd notes.

IMPORTANT EDIT: I just simply cannot do Art of The Dress. Rarity talks off-beat with the song, which leaves me quite clueless as to where to put the notes in the song. I can go by ear, but it's usually off by 20ms and then throws the song off later. I would like to do it, but I just simply can't take that kind of note abuse for over 4 minutes straight of music. Sorry.

EDIT 2: Finished making all the songs I took (except Art of the Dress, megamon, can you step it? I think you would be better equipped.) and sent the songs off to Justin for uploading to the community engine that can be found here (If you forgot,) and in the standalone. (hit the link & copy URL)

Also, I usually would not give people download links to songs that I step, but since you requested it, the requested songs have been sent VIA PM to the respective requester for their own personal uses, just keep in mind that there is no banner or background. :D

Re: Team Pony

Yeah, I can step Art of the Dress. By offbeat I assume you mean the syncopated singing? It's just 16th intervals, so it shouldn't be too hard to step. Also, I'm probably going to cut the song because the second half is pretty much the same as the first.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I'm stepping some renard pony songs to into the regular ffr batch, so hopefully by the time the next batch rolls around I'll have some pony songs to submit :D But for now I'll just work on the Art of the Dress file.

Oh and I played discord - I really don't see the need for the 32nds since the notes are actually on the 16th intervals (I have to hit all the 32nds early). Also some of the 16ths on the runs seemed a bit off. Otherwise it was a really fun and well-done file.

I'll be uploading the new files from stinger in a minute or two, finishing up someone's profile and shipping it off to them while talking to my gf lol multitasking out the rear like always.

:o the stops and speed-ups didn't work? I thought they did. Then again, My PA isn't nearly as good as yours I take it. I'll work on a fix before uploads starting tomorrow before the new MLP:FIM episode airs.

Also, good luck. Hope your file passes, but that Renard song you got on the community engine is a BEAST.

Re: Team Pony

(I'll have the 5 new files up tomorrow guys, things came up and now I'm exhausted and heading to bed)

Re: Team Pony

Party With Pinkie is around a 10. I tried doing a couple of colour gimmicks :P

EDIT: Also, I tried downloading the standalone and playing on that but it gives an error message: "The game playlist failed to load, preventing play. Be sure you have the latest version of flash player, and that the t-xmlfeedbacktest and t-ffrstatsread files are in the correct loading directory." Any ideas on how to fix this?

Re: Team Pony

It does that every now and then. All you can do about it is keep trying to load it up until it works, or come back at a later time with it. It's sort of like a timeout error if it takes too long to connect to the webpage.

btw, i sent in fixes for So Many Wonders (8-Bit) and Discord (Eurochaos Mix).

Re: Team Pony

so normally i wouldn't care at all about ffr

but in the spirit of mlp,

I have ~35 pony music/pony remix charts that i've been working on as sort of a hobby over the last 2-3 (4?) months which i'd be willing to shoot your guys' way if you wanted

from what i can gather the average skill level of this group seems to be on the lower side and the vast majority of these files would be considered high fgo (read: very dumpy and probably not any fun for almost any of you although some of them have multiple charts (the easier ones being like... low fgo))

i can't tell how many files you guys have so far (zambia blocks the engine and i probably couldnt load it even if it didnt) but i could probably beef the number up by quite a bit

if you guys are sufficiently interested but don't want dumps i could maybe find the time to dumb down a few charts and send the really easy ones (aka waltz for trixie) but otherwise i'll be pcing out to stepmania land

gold stinger 01-14-2012 12:02 PM

Re: Team Pony

songs that e have on the engine right no average around 9-difficulty, (Maybe two Vcs, 1 FGO, and a couple 6 & 7's and the rest 9s,) and there has been a couple of people asking for easy charts to fill out the low gaps, so we would really appreciate it if you could :D

Re: Team Pony

where exactyl is the engine? or how to acces it. seems just the right difficulty for me.

There's a link in the second post, but I'll post it here for you: http://ffrcommunityengine.zxq.net/. Our songs are in genre 8 (secret).

That would be pretty cool :P Send the ones that you want, it doesn't really matter if they're dumpy or not. Dumps are fun to play :D

Re: Team Pony

i'll get some stuff organized and polished in that case

a) who should i send them to and
b) can i just rar up .sm files and you guys get mp3s because it's fairly expensive and difficult to upload large amounts of stuff from here

justin_ator 01-14-2012 01:16 PM

Re: Team Pony

Mina, if you're going to send just .sm's, send them to one of these guys so they can find the proper mp3's and make sure the sync is still correct. I don't have the time to do that as well. If you're sending the WHOLE thing, with the mp3, you can send it directly to me as I'm the one who uploads/manages the community engine.
