I'm giving you another question: who is the towniest thus far in your eyes?

oh oops I answered that in my mind and didn't type it

probably because I can't remember but I have a vague feeling I've played one or two before? I think we have done it in live TWG a few times too. but idk not enough that they made any impression on me to be able to read this game with

I've been playing since 2015 (admittedly with a couple of year-long gaps in between). Which, granted, is still pretty new compared to some of you but still

This has happened and it sucks but from experience keeping inactives around for late stages have never been in towns favor

I've seen town bounce back from dead PRs killed on the first phase, but never from 2 inactives in the Final Three

I don't know if I want to try playing around a PR that isn't playing just simply because they're a Power Role

----

That said, who really is slanking right now?
For Xel it's NAI (Not Alignment Indicative) because it just always how he is. Shit, if he was super active that would mean he was a role that he found personally interesting and for this game it'll be scum. I almost am tempted to clear him on his other wolfy play, but will give him a phase to see how he responds to stuff that shall happen later

For Zenith, IIRC this is their meta always, both roles

I generally do vote out the inactives first phase because they've proven to be an issue moving forward before, but of these two I would only entertain Zenith right now

.....I will not vote yet, though

Granted, there is a point that if the Seer dies N1 this will all be for naught. Still, even one clear is very powerful in this setup due to the numbers we're working with

Theoretically if he was, he's opted out of leaving a read on D0 before so he would still think the phase for tye role is boring and still dip

It's frustrating

He's just playing like how he would normally play and I don't see anything suspicious. Making points about lots of different things and doesn't seem like he's pushing any specific agenda

This is SPICY

as long as you have a cool fight stick to use, that sounds rad

is it spicy considering he unvoted me and also acknowledged being caught up?

You're not wrong but there's more to consider when you have several players not engaging the game

Every inactive is just one more mislynch for wolves that get easier for them to obtain every phase

Plus actives are constantly giving info, and info allows them to be solved. If there's a wolf in the actives, he is literally giving you a chance to play the game and solve it accurately. You can always catch them in later phases

An inactive exist on more or less the same state all through the game

Re: TWG Turbo 35: A Small Gathering [GAME THREAD]

I feel kind of lost simply due to not having any night action to really steer where I want to be thinking or looking between interactions because at the moment, interactions are simple nudges at best, couple of comments here and there and some prods where people might lean a vote.

Leetic came in strong and talkative which is nice to see, but looking at both worlds I'm looking at a 50/50 actively talking and that's it
Roundbox is the same but presents more town vibed and orientated imo

Raeko/MML floating in that talky vt vibe, MML a bit more calm and drawn back than usual

Haze with a Z is also a 50/50 that I can't meta read because first time playing with you (hiii welcome!)

I still want to see what Xel meant by possibly getting violent lol

I'm what you'd call rusty. I would not self describe my later posts as "popping back" though.

You know precisely what my original comment of "I'll try later" meant.

But since people want to play silly:

The point of that post is to openly say "Hey, this game is literally mechanics, and I know what they are, but you can't use them till tomorrow"

1. No Free Seer check.
2. Lar already spelt out how this game works. Except he messed it up. Which is notably out of character.
- Both by saying he was going to "keep it close to his chest" and by doing the "if I am the seer" too early. You're begging for free townie cred and it's so obvious I audibly laughed.
3. My opening post is a free worm on a string to get people to interact with me.

Anyone who jumps me for that post is on my D0 vote list, because that post is incredibly obvious.

Meanwhile, Lar has messed up an easy early game, Raeko has "Tee hee I forgot" and you just let them walk away.

D0 is leave a thing, vote who bites in this format.

This post, I like a lot though. Not because me, but because this is not the kind of information most people would fish for.

I can't really comment on myself in a productive manner, so this is pure conjecture on my end, but I don't really agree, there's only three roles and none of them are interesting. This format's great but to say it's interesting unless seer dies tonight would be a bit of a stretch.

I think that would be less helpful for Town, so let's see where you actually go first before I comment on it further

But also want to get a hitbox for PS5 sometime. I use to play stick but after my last one broke I just focused the time on IIDX

Wolves in the actives just end up having more control in the thread and being far more dangerous as a result, especially in lategame. The exact dynamics of wolf teams don't exactly matter as much though when there's only one wolf

Ultimately, we just have to proceed a little carefully. While it's good to vote someone who could emergency claim Seer if necessary, ultimately forcing the Seer to claim D1 is not really an acceptable outcome either, especially with the wolf blocker.

So, judging by your post you have roundbox/Raeko/MML town and me/Haze/XelNya as PoE? Who would you vote GTH?

leetic 02-29-2024 07:47 PM

Re: TWG Turbo 35: A Small Gathering [GAME THREAD]

A PoE of three does win the game here, but it's not a great strategy for solo wolf games as one misclear immediately makes things hopeless. We do have the Seer to narrow things down, but that's no guarantee.

Xel claiming that I am incapable of making mistakes and using that logic to paint me as scum does things to my body that I thought only Lewdy's stash could do
