nah it's because I'm gonna be in the States for the next two weeks, wouldn't be able to do anything and Jesse would have to tackle hosting the first few rounds himself

I want this to be somewhat complex and pretty in-depth so it's better for it to stay a two man job for the entire duration of the tourney (o:

The gym leaders don't have to be real people as far as I'm aware, bmah...he was just using Jesse as an example. The point is you have to complete a set of "catch" requirements by the deadline in order to defeat them and advance to the next round.

I've had some other pretty sick ideas since the conception of this thread as well, to hopefully encourage you guys to try and 'catch 'em all' :twisted:

This'll make it seem like the Pokemon you caught in earlier rounds aren't totally useless in the future. I still need to run some things by Jesse but I don't think he'll have a problem with what I have in mind~

Tourney needs moar fuccen HYPE. Hopefully those sig images can help with that...we're still two weeks away from tourney start, we can't let the thread die now!

In the meantime, what sorts of anti-skill contests might be involved in captures? Anti-PA, precise step counts a la BEER (hopefully not nearly as much as Winning, though), unique scores? I'm kind of against side games that affect tournament standing or don't have to do with smashing arrows, though...just warning you about that.
