Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

ATTENTION: We are in need of people to submit their evaluations of the new Token songs. This is just my opinion, but it would be nice to mention important things like the approximate BPM, weird or prominent patterns or rhythms, how well the steps and song are synchronized, and other such errata that were important in how you arrived at your rating. DON'T tell us how you unlocked it, we just want to know how difficult it is.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

Difficulties for token songs are in-game.

You could have a separate section for the BPM and stuff I suppose, but I don't think they should be included in the main song list, seeing as they aren't really standard fare as far as songs go.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

You're right that token songs aren't exactly standard songs for the game since they have to be unlocked by performing specific actions. However, it would be nice to have a list of the songs and difficulties, just like we have for all the rest of them. Even if we can't say how to get them here, I'd at least like to know how many there are and what information about them is allowed to be made public.

added token & subscriber's songs, discuss they should be here or not.

seems difficult to add more info on this list, such as patterns, sync, color, etc.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

Thanks for updating the information. I'll give a few remarks on the points up for discussion, for what they're worth.

Subscriber's songs are just future SotW songs, right? That means we'll all seem them eventually, so I don't think there should be a problem with leaving them in the list. I suppose you could wait on adding them until they go public, but personally it doesn't matter that much to me. I've been looking up the names in the song list anyway to add them to my best scores spreadsheet.

As for token songs, I'd like this information to remain available. Knowing that a token song exists, its name, difficulty, stats, etc. shouldn't be a real problem. It looks like threads on the board are going to talk about these as they're released anyway, and give some clues on getting them, so it will be hard not to know they're out there. They could be made a separate listing though since, like Shashakiro said, they're not exactly meant to be standard fare. For now, I'm keeping them separate in my spreadsheet, mainly because I don't see them in the song list, so they're not factoring in to my average rank.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

i'd maybe bump HotN to 56 or so. just in comparing it to xuxa and destiny.

for me, frozen is harder than air... but i'd agree that air is harder.

jimerax 02-5-2007 06:38 AM

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

Air has some difficulty for 32nd bursts and gallop-like patterns.
Frozen has many jumpstreams, but still Air is harder.

It's hard to determine the accurate place of HotN, want more opinion.
possibly 55 or 56.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

HotN isn't hard to pass or read, but it seems pretty hard to PA.
Also, the 24ths are fairly challenging at that speed.

55 seems good.

EDIT- Although... compare it to Z which is a 62.
Z has similar patterns and is actually slower, so I don't know... I actually think Z is over-rated.

Tasselfoot 02-5-2007 06:16 PM

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

Z has much more stream. HotN is all small bursts. and the patterns are easier.

Mashing a pass doesn't mean anything.

Improvisation et Chien is either high 3.5 or low 4.
Deinitely not 3 IMO.

Shashakiro 02-7-2007 11:56 AM

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

say 3.5.

It only has a couple tricky parts, the rest is cake IMO.

i just keep thinking snowflakes is very easy. i show new people it and they love it. they can almost combo it after a day. I also notice that there's like 10,000 people that have around 10 or less goods.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

Why is Klung Klung easier than Splash Beats? The hardest part in Splash beats is the long 1 handed thrills IMO. Klung klung has 1 handed thrills too, it also has running men at the end and the general arrow difficulty is harder.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

Well, for me, Klung Kung is somehow much easier to PA than Splash Beats is. I think Klung Kung is easier.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

splash beats is faster, harder, jackier.

Shashakiro 02-10-2007 03:42 PM

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

lol, splash is like 20 BPM faster. that's why it's harder.
