cool.

After that will the songs be grouped by difficulty instead of the genre like spin it up?
The only problem now is Dance has way too many songs.

No plz dont group songs by diffculty even if the advanced chardish scale is used. Song genres are good way to sort the songs.

I think that the way to combat the problem of to many songs in dance is the ability to self-sort the songs eg. artist, diffculty, song name, date added etc....

I was thinking of asking Tass if he would think about sorting out the songs some time into some logical order.

In 3rd Style, songs WILL be sorted by difficulty, not genre...that's already been decided.

Not happening, too much work.

They're already basically sorted by difficulty within the genres...and they're staying that way, except to accomodate new songs.

There's going to be a 3rd style? I thought it was all a myth.

Surrender my graphics you scumbags!

If it were up to me, there would be no decimals. Integers all the way. Just subtract 1 from everything on the Chardish scale and multiply it by 2. 11 grade scale from 0 to 10.

It would be somewhat difficult to switch to a % scale, but you could probably have a set of standards on what makes a song hard. Ie... Jacks, Length, Total Arrows, offbeat (maybe? it might not be wise to include this and just assume all songs are on beat), arrow difficulty. You could make it so that each group was weighted differently. That would take away from the difficulty of saying "oh this one should be a little bit harder than that one".

Of course, that's too hard, and will never happen.

Also: the difficulties don't have to be linear. A 49 second song is not much different from a 2 minute song, but once you pass 2 minutes, you can tell. On Max Forever and Pants, it's definitely noticeable, and should have nearly all points of the length or endurance portion.

Of course ALL factors are considered for the difficulty, even though they aren't total objective.
Advenced Chardish scale is from 1.0 to 6.0, as integer from 2 to 12, which is totally compatible with ingame difficulty.

Added more info, 99 grade rating is still beta.

added Norgers to 3.

I'd call it low 3.5 for the jacks.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

yea it could be 3.5, need more opinion I guess.

I'd put it in the 41-43/44 range. the jacks plus the jump endings to the bursts. i always have a hard time PAing that kind of a sequence.

The minijacks remind me unfavorably of 100 Bar Blackout in regards to how surprisingly difficult it is to combo them regularly (at least for me). I'd agree with Shash at the 3.5 rating because the jumps might throw off some of the less experienced players.

fixed it to 3.5/41.

BPM on TGWP is 25-190, if I'm not mistaken.

And as for difficulty...meh, really hard to judge since FFR hasn't had a file like this before. I honestly have no idea, although I'd probably say something like REALLY high 5 or so.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

I'd say between for FFR and end night, although that may change after several more plays.
