all life starts small and has to grow. i dont care about saying "how was the egg made then?" if all life started at the same time, they shouldve had to grow to adapt, and several other things. so everything started in basically "infant form." they couldnt just start out adult. they would have had to learn from the start. the very start. thats my opinion on which came first. so the egg came first

Edit: btw, this question lacks specifics. in literal terms, the egg came first. dinosaur eggs came before the evolution of the chicken.

Edit2: lol more literal, in reading text, the word "chicken" came before "egg". so its also chicken if you take it that way

There is more than one version of the question. They are all quite easy to answer.

The answer to your question is egg, since they were laid long before chickens came to be by more ancestral species.

2. Which came first, the chicken or an egg laid by a chicken?

Answer: Chicken. This is incredibly easy to answer and can be done with logical deduction.

3. Which came first, the chicken or an egg containing a chicken?

Answer: Egg. This is probably the hardest one. Modern Biology and Genetics validates this.

One answer could be that a circle has no beginning

another one could be what Reach said.

Chickens hatch from eggs, but a brooding mother chicken must keep an egg warm in order for it to hatch. This mutual reliance causes ambiguity as to which originally gave rise to the other.

The Chicken Came Before The Egg Because 2 Things

1) The Chicken Could Have Been A Mutated Creation.
2)God Made Animals Like The Second Thing Or Something.

If A Tree Fell In The Forest And Nobody Could Here It It Makes A Sound.

The Microscopic Bugs and Bacteria They Sure As Hell Heard A Tree Falling If They Hear A Foot Step The Will Here ThatA falling tree creates vibrations in the air (as well as some damage on what it falls on). Vibrations in the carrier medium are not sound. Sound is when someone perceives those vibrations and therefore hears sound.

PS. Stop trying to make your reply all CAPS.

Actually, there are two answers to the question, and your answer is wrong in physics.

This arises because there are two definitions of sound. In physics, sound is vibrations in the air, and a falling tree does make a sound.

The latter definition gives the answer you gave.

It's an unfair question to ask without first defining all the terms. Otherwise it leads to pointless debates that could otherwise be ended quickly.
