SIU is very hard.

It's insane! The waves are going like.. that way and this way, it's too much for my computer to handle, but I love it anyways.

Oh. I need to bug iPatch once more I guess.

EDIT: I remembered I sent a pm to suggest a change in the gameplay/scoring system to make SiU alot more easier and fun. Jasonkey did reply that he would comment on it later but months passed, still no word. I'll try to find the pm later and post it when I'm less lazy.

Sounds Great! I'll add you onto AIM so hopefully we can talk about how to make SIU bigger and better.

Anyways, I have begun to notice how SpinItUp is losing its steam and I strongly believe this is because of the current percentage system. Almost everyone in this community, when asked about their opinions on this game, say that it is too hard or that they are bad at it. And if almost everyone says that they are bad at this game, etc. it would show the inaccessibility and would ultimately be unappealing to beginners.

The current percentage system has many faults that badly affects the appeal to this game. First off, people like the feeling of having a constant increase of success which could be known as Combos in ffr. There is combos in SIU but since it does not change the outcome of the score, a player would find that combos are essentially useless.

Also, the system does not follow "ranges" that allows accessibility by providing a little bit more wriggle room. Let me put it this way. In ffr, if the only way to get a 100%, or perfect, is to hit the note at the exact pixel, not only would it be hard but there would be a constant feeling of failure of being unable to get a good PA. That is exactly what its like in siu. Couple pixels off target and it would be likely that you will miss a perfect.

I myself love the percent system but i feel like im cheating by having able to pixel move my way to a constant 100% while others would have a harder time with actually moving the cursor.

What i am proposing is that SIU will take on a new, more intuitive and fun points system. Alot more leeway would be allowed with perfect/good/almost/bad system therefore lessening the feeling of "being bad at the game". Combos would also have a use on affecting the scoring outcome of the game. The point system will also make it possible to keep track of personal total score, which would not make sense with the percentage system.

I would also like to discuss this further as a group if that is at all possible. Thanks for your time!

o wow, this was back in may

We hear you. Just because I don't talk about things doesn't mean we are not working on them. I promise you proof of this in less than a week. I think Drugstore can vouch for the accuracy of my statement. So can Xelius. :)

Cheers,

The perfect/good/almost/bad would be a lot nicer than percentages.

Maybe like

Perf: 500
Good: 225
Almost: 100
bad: ??

I can't wait for it Synth XD
