FFR was running on different servers. I know they weren't as fast as they are now, so that doesn't make a whole lot of sense.. but maybe the servers back then just disregarded the input for whatever reason. Now these newer, faster servers actually try to execute it, and.. well, we can really only hope for the best.

Ok, this is my sister's account, but I wanted to post, then go to bed. I don't see why you want to attack Engler directly (And yes, I have read this whole thread.) But although i can see how it would sent out "phantom" challenges to everybody, at least one server is working. Now Synthlight, I sympathize with you. I own my own game server, coded and hosted by me. Wouldn't somebody expect sooner or later that somebody would not fill outt he recipient's field by mistake? Hell, I have a real bad memory and bad eyesight, who knows. Maybe I woulda done it on accident :P Seriously though, it doesn't seem like he did it maliciously. I'm sure it was in innocence, and I think the steps taken were extremely harsh, although I can understand as to why they were taken. But seriously, the personal attacks and this flurry here seems to be in the extremes, wouldn't you think? Besides, FFR is still here, and that's what matters most to you. Now granted, I would be sad if my server crashed. I put 4 months of effort into it and I'm still working on it :O. But it seems to be short sight in the coding that was finally brought to light. Because there IS still a server remaining, not all is lost. I'm sure that now Synthlight has seen the weakness, he can fix it. I doubt it's as bad as he makes it out to be. Now the personal insults are boorish and degrading. Why not ask him the details, all of you? He may be able to explain what happened better than be afraid to come out.
