DWI XStep

I am useing Xstep o create stepfiles,does it have to have DWI? or can it have stepmainia?

Don't use XStep. Don't use DWI. Use Stepmania Editor.

Is the SM editor included with SM or do you have to download it seperatly?

it's part of SM
just go to "edit/sync songs" in the main menu. It automatically creates both .SM and .DWI files when you save, so it's not like you can't use steps made in the SM editor on DWI

its 10x better than dwi anyway. you won't have to use notepad, editor is the best for making perfectly synced stepfiles...and yea, sm is just more accurate and better overall.

...and to think ive been making stepfiles for almost 6 months using a text editor...*sigh* lol
