why dosent it work?

Also, as ToshX said in the other thread turn your mic on using the bottom right button. If nobody can hear you make sure you have your microphone set up correctly, test it first.

Right click on the background of the chat and hit "settings" configure your microphone settings, and unclick the "remember" box, so it asks if you want your microphone on everytime you go in the chat. That should make it work.
(and obviously make sure your microphone is plugged in, and turned on)
