This has been discussed plenty of times, but there hasn't been an official topic for it, so I decided to make a topic as detailed as possible towards speed mods.

This is the url when you are playing a song on Resonance:
http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/Resonance/index.php?Speed1=3&playmode=x&simid=xxxx

See that bold number? That determines how fast the arrows scroll. On default it is set to 3. This however means that it scrolls at 3 times the song's BPM.

If you find it's too fast or too slow, then just decrease or increase it as you see fit, but how do you know how much you should increase or decrease it?

If you have no knowledge of how fast you are capable of reading, I suggest that you start on a 400-500 range and climb up as you get better. The average comfort rate is about 650, but that widely varies from person to person. For example, Danceguy reads comfortable at about 520 (below average), I read comfortably at 820 (above average), yet Hr2 is capable of reading to 1000 just fine, and MacGravel reads at speeds below 200. Just tool around until you find your comfort range.

Also worth noting is that, in Yessss's length, the 'x' would be the difficulty it's playing on (1-5 as per the numbered buttons) and the 'xxxx' is the song's ID, so if you happen to know any off by heart you can jump quickly to it.
