Hello, my name is Erik Brown and my hero is Guy Fawkes. I am not a man above reason, I live by rational thought, it drives me to analyze and fully understand the world around me. I do not understand the apathy the current chat authority has towards those not in their prominent circle. It truly is something contemporary politicians aspire to, robber barons wished to have accomplished, and play writes hope to change.

I fight for no one person, for that would sully and debase this posting; merely do I champion for the right and just cause. You may not believe what I say to you today, you may turn the other cheek, but when it does in turn happen to you - the great villainous act of debauchery to the great name (I even once hoped to call it my title) of FFR Chat Mod or Admin - I pray that you find it not too late to stand up and make a plea for the just path in life.

I apologize in kind, before any real transgression be made, for all feelings that are hurt, for any minds that think this anything less than genuine, for those who have yet to come into this newly corrupted society.

:::POINTS TO BE MADE:::

You are led by someone hell bent on hoarding power in their own little sub-sector of the web, rising to 'power' with such haste as to lose sight of what I shall assume was a noble goal of balancing a community of youthful rythm gamers who enjoy talking in real-time.

You overlook your most valuable assets, Cenright has shown such PASSION and fervor in the original duties of a mod, and a mod of the new system.

Destruction, though wary of this new chat, and infrequent in visits, was always a very well mannered individual in his online persona, and would undoubtedly have made a fine role-model as he was well liked.

I just stumbled over a thought which I believe needs some lime light cast upon it for it may well be food for thought to the lot of you who have cared enough to read this message for what it is: None of the older mods make time for us anymore. Wether it be due to demodding, apathy towards regaining moderator status, or just a conflict of schedule we are slowly losing our strong, friendly, goal-oriented authoritative persons and they are being replaced with these newer mods/admins who are trying as best they can I'm sure.

Fearing I suffer on a tangent, as it is my habit in debate, I come back in to focus. The community has no say in the heirarchy which governs it, for this I hang my head in shame. With all the outward expansion of democracy, even here in our own world of tubes (which you shouldn't fill with garbage), we see the masses have little to no say in the members who comprise the oligarchy of now mods and admins. How is it that we fight with guns and men for the furtherance of Democracy when we ignore it on our most prominent frontier (that of technology)!

I hope I have not preached to the choir who has only sat silent as this travesty plays on. I also hope that I have not alienated, brought up arms, or simply 'turned off' anyone to this topic which garners MUCH respect as it deals with all members of this community. I hope it not a shock that I feel this way on this particular topic seeing that as a failure on my part to be the man that I am today. You may call me biased, you may called me idiotic, ignorant, defunct, or a wild child with no true goal but chaos. I take your opinions gladly in knowing that I caused you to think about this, regardless of your true feelings.

when you ask to be modded, it lowers your chances of becoming one.

Ha, In most cases it erases you from the drawing.

Good Job!!!

Where in all that I said was the inkling of a movement for me to be modded? Countless times have I denounced a drive to even want to join the ranks, yet you provide a CATACLYSMIC error in judgement by assuming that I want to 'be like mike'. No, I provided a revolutionary idea called democracy. The people may be dumb, but basic instinct tells you what is wrong in the environment you call your own.

They can say: wow this is not a good mod, please remove he or she for here is evidence showing their inate inability to govern themselves, let alone anyone else. On the other hand, the users of the chat are those who see first hand the actions taken by someone who deserves to become a moderator.

I don't expect a full change from an oligarchy to a democracy overnight, I expect you all to review the direction the chat has taken, and to come to terms with the inherent flaws.

I apologize for my delay in response and my inability to express myself to the extent of across the board recognition of my objective.

Why write up such a story like this, if not for the atempt to ask?

Looks like it took a wile to type this out and put thought into it, sounds like a request to me. You said it with out saying it, so to say. Nicely worded though I have to give you that.

I actually toyed with the idea of a communist lifestyle... the only inherent flaw is the human element =\ but I'm sure if we were to gradually condition a free market capitalist economy into a communist one, it would actually work. If not then perhaps starting kids on a diet full of communism and not teaching them of greater evils ... that might work, you think?

But in response to Jones' statement of:

"Why write up such a story like this, if not for the atempt to ask?

I will not repeat that I am aiming to revert us back to a form of popular rule, mirroring the ideals of John Locke and the sorts where it is not mob rule by the uneducated and not elitist rule by the few and greedy. I will be happy to respond to you further outside of this thread as I do not want to boil this down to petty debate.

Also this was thought of in a fit of heated passion when, after a short break from the chat, I found Aaron banned and his reasoning sound in the atrocity of it. I do not feign to know both sides of the story, or the 100% valid truth of the subject, but if there is any chance that what was detailed to me could happen again (it has happened before Blitzmage, would do you well to keep that in mind) I wanted the possibilty brought to light so we could hopefully avert such a catastrophe!

I shall reiterate, genuinely stating, that I do not mean to target any individual, I do not want to become that which I fear is corrupt, I share the anxiety and caution of others who feel that there is a great wrong being done behind the scenes. I open this to debate on that topic, if anyone wish to talk about it here.

If people were deciding who would be mods, then many would just make a different account, and vote themselves.
