I use the edit difficulty for some of my simfiles and I know others do (Zagh's Porco Dio is one example). And if you managed it for the other five difficulties it couldn't be hard, right?

This would be helpful. I see no reason why this shouldn't be doable.

Also, I'd like to follow onto the suggestion by adding: Instead of going 1, 2, 3, etc. the difficulty squares should display their foot rating, showing 15+ if it's 15 or above. Much more useful, no?

However, I'd rather see the Japanese symbols for the difficulties (since they're so commonplace already (http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h110/AfrobeanMS/DifficultyDisplaybar6x1.png)), or a simple one letter indicator (ie B, L, S, H, C, E). The numbers really are meaningless though...

Maybe have it so it displays a letter to indicate difficulty level, then follow it with a color coded difficulty foot indicator. I don't imagine it'd be too difficult to code that. Another idea I just had: use something like they have at the hidden-street.net item database (sample: here (http://www.hidden-street.net/monsters/mons1.php)) When you hover the mouse over a link to an item, it displays a little picture of the item you're mousing over. It could be made to show color coded feet in count of whatever the difficulty level is.

Again, this is all assuming that it's not difficult to extract the feet number from the SM file.

If it can extract entire stepcharts intact, by heck it can extract a single number.

Hm, I think I'll just make this my new 'suggestion' topic.

SUGGESTION: Have a way to see if there are any comments on your uploaded files without having to check the page of each and every one. Maybe something like what bemanistyle.com does?

I second that.
