Hello all,

I was searching through the Resonance files to see if there was something I recognized that I could play. I noticed many licensed songs (by Utada Hikaru, Linkin Park, etc), and I was wondering, by 'unauthorized' does it mean that simfiles of DDR songs prohibited, or any song that you do not own the rights to?

More specifically, would I be able to upload my simfile of "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey?

Thanks,

Realistically speaking, nobody cares what you upload to FFR simfiles. The main restrictions are on what people actually put in the FFR game.

With those other songs, it seems that as long as the owner of the copyrights don't say anything, it's "ok." I personally disagree with this, but policing the simfile database would take more than one or two moderators and realistically, there probably aren't enough people to go through and check to make sure that every file uploaded has 100% legal right to.

My understanding on the DDR front is that people are totally not allowed to upload official DDR/ITG/etc. steps, but uploading those songs with original steps is acceptable.
