CMODS!!

support for bpm changes

support for .dwi stuff

make the arrow smush when you hit it.

and screen for the score you got.

scoreing system more like sm that is based on the # of feet

key remaping

not really for resonance but make it so you can search by simfile author # of downloads and rating.

EDIT: make the freezes have a cooldown before going to NG

One suggestion I thought of instantly: do away with the web based simfile navigation completely. If it were possible to navigate the list AND play them AND download them all in one flash window, that would be really awesome.

Thats a really good idea. I like it.

That would make it a lot easier.

Take out the part in the loading screen that says "If you don't like the file, post about it on the forums."

The last thing the forum needs is a bunch of dumbasses posting somewhere saying "___________ file sux i cant pass it its rly gay fuk u"

It should probably just link back to the sim's page on the evaluation screen. That way people can go back and add comments and rate it without even bothering to download it.

The implementation of CMods obviously will not be an issue until simfiles with speed changes are compatible.

I really like Afro's idea posted above. The URL of the created topic for the simfile(s) could be added in by the uploader.

edit: Related to the synching issue brought up here (http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/vbz/showthread.php?t=48006), if at all possible, an AutoSync feature would be very, very helpful. To clarify, the AutoSync feature of StepMania allows you to play through a song, and adjusts the Gap, or Beat 0 Offset, to your timing. In this way, you can time your keystrokes to the music, and adjust the Gap of simfiles to synchronize the notes with the music on your computer, given that the BPM is accurate.

Obviously, if this were to be done, changing the Gap of a file can't affect how it is in the Database for everyone else. It would have to reset when you refresh. This could only be done once you are able to play through a simfile and get back to the song select wheel without refreshing. I don't think this addition can come any time soon, but if it ever comes, it would be a very big help to everyone.

Likely you will find the answer to your questions here:

the FFr staff should figure out how to put all the FFr songs from the first ffr into FFr Resonance (spelling?)

if you do you could ask the step artist to make all the other difficutly's for all the songs...

dAnceguy117
August 14th, 2006, 01:32 PM
Salulator, there's no reason for that. You can just play them on R1.

Top things I want added soon:

#1: Score evaluation screen.

#2: DWI implementation.

Everything else doesn't really matter in my eyes.

the point is that you wuold have all the songs available and in all sorts of difficutlies, so that someone who couldn't do HIghspeed star on challenge could do it on light or begginner.

An option to play the songs in your "manage" list, so you can quickly see how well your uploaded files work with the FFR system compared to Stepmania.

Im liking alot of the ideas, these will definitally make this game as successful as R1.

PS: sticky please =o

I'm pretty sure that's what the "My Simfiles" group is you can choose after picking the difficulty.

I'd like to see the manage list to be soon available with the resonance Database. And It'd be nice if we could edit our sims...

well, like emccky, i would like to hear news on reverse scrolling. i just can't play down to up properly at all. i'm sorry for repeating suggestions the others have made but i thought i might put up another post in case you might have missed it, since i haven't really seen any replies or news regarding to it. it just sucks to see people enjoying the new feature and i can't =<

so are there any plans of implementing reverse scrolls in the near future despite the busy schedules you all have?

That is a hell of a download for anyone waiting to play a single simfile. Why is it so large? bulky mp3?

Dragonforce tends to make songs around the 10 minute mark.

An option to disable backgrounds >_<.
Full screen mode.

Suggestion. Prompt after preload and before getting into the song with the following options available:

1. Speed modifer
2. Background brightness
3. Additional offset in +/- seconds (so that if it's offsync when you play you can time how far off then adjust for it)
4. Standard or reverse scroll
5. Quality (high to low, like what you can change apon a right click to the window)
6. Graphics (default is what there is right now, low takes away the flash to the beat, flashing when the arrows hit the targets, hides the score and makes the lifebar more static, like what FFR has)

This should solve a lot of problems in one blow.

i kinda wish that the amount of marvelous you get on a song makes such a huge difference on the score . oh well.

Seconds is way too large of an interval to fix anything accurately. Aside from that, this is probably the best way to solve the synching issues unless/until the universal gap problems are solved.

Show the play counts of each simfile!

And make a better manage page....like where you could see the recent comments like in BMS....

I meant seconds as opposed to a certain note interval, but I dont know how syncing works so it might be better as note intervals.

(and by seconds I also meant milliseconds)

I would suggest mines being added, because it makes a song harder by not stepping or hitting on the mines, like on Infection, Lemmings on the Run, Pac-Man theme(remix), Disconnected -Mobius-, Bouff, VerTex, Hip Hop Jam, etc. those songs had like a pack of mines on a single sector.
