I don't think the mouse being in the center of the circle should affect the paddle. Moving the mouse SLIGHTLY near the center throws off the paddle a lot and makes for very erratic movement.

I think there should be an area around the center in which the paddle will remain where it is until it receives a new place to be.

For example:

If the mouse was to fall anywhere within the identified area, the paddle would simply remain at it's previous location until the cursor moves out from the center. The size I made the green circle is arbitrary-- by no means do I mean that the center should be that size exactly, I just used it to visually represent the idea.

I'm actually pretty comfortable with how it works right now. But I guess this would be cool as well

And I don't know if this would help others, but it'd definitely help me out quite a bit. I also don't see how this could possibly hurt players either... they shouldn't be playing as close to the center as I'm talking about anyway.

Holy freaking crap.

That would cripple me to no end. I do play very close to the center. My cursor is usually just outside that line you drew, sometimes inside it.

Seriously, once steps actually become HARD, this feature will be unwanted. I guess it could be an option for people who want it, but personally, I don't.

I think it's a good idea. I have a habit of waving my cursour around frantically, this will at least help with the slice jumping around on me.

I didn't necessarily mean that size. I just did that to visually depict what I meant.

In reality, I think that a much smaller section would be best, combined with putting the center to be actually in the center of the circle. As it stands, it seems to be offset slightly to the upper left.

The center is no longer offset. I did try a test with the center not being active and found to my surprise that it made the game extremely difficult while trying to concentrate on all the waves coming out. It is a similiar effect to people running their mouse outside of the gameplay area. only in reverse.

Cheers,

Understandable.

Should be fine if the offset center thing has been fixed though.
