I just read the jumps thread and immediately thought of holds. Is there any way to make something like that? My thought would be to have it so that it kinda goes like this: (sorry if this is hard to visualize, i don't feel like drawing then uploading right now)

Normally, you would just hit one wave (?)
-
then there could be a hold or something that goes like this
-------

Now this is where my idea comes in. Picture a hold, but notes on the sides:
,-'-,-'-,-'-
For this i would suggest something like this:
/\/\/\/\/\/
where you pretty much have to have part of the paddle (i think thats what you are calling it) stay in the middle and then jiggle out to the sides to hit the waves (?) or something. so you would kinda be like this: (the _ represents where the middle should be)
_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_

Now, I'm not really sure if that makes sense or not. I'll try and have some better pictures tomorrow. But someone else might get the idea or improve upon mine.

Any thoughts?

Ever play Gitaroo-Man? that's similar to how the "holds" work in that. When you've got a stream that you need to follow with the joystick, a lot of times it will do a serpentine-type maneuver; sine-wave if you will. Keeps the user paying attention, I guess.

I had an idea about holds, although it's stupid. I thought maybe with holds you move your cursor over the hold, then hold down the left mouse button to initiate the hold. But that's my idea; I'm pretty sure that the type of hold that LD & Synth are working on is gonna work just fine.

The streams seem like holds, since a stream is pointless in a game that you only have to move the mouse.
