Some of you more perceptive users may have noticed by now a few of the moderators changing their avatars and signatures to Pokemon characters, and a few of the users changing their avatars to pokemon. If you have found your avatar has been changed to a pokemon, don't change it back because you've been caught. You are now a pokemon on the team of whoever caught you, and you will do battle with other mods' pokemon.

More details after all the trainers and pokemon are finalized. If you change your avatar back to what it used to be, you will be ejected from the game and banned. Good luck to everyone.

Sudowoodo is the best pokemon ever. I had him in my Silver party for more than half of the game. If you're going for underrated and awesome, I'd say Noctowl. I have one level 100 (as well as a slew of other random 100s... I have about 400 hours on my gold version).

Everyone loves their pidgeots though. Pidgeot sucks ass too.

Really, I'd say best rock type is golem or something, though. Way more versatile, and more powerful, I'm sure.

PS best pokemon ever is Mewtwo. Unstoppable.

PPS not actually unstoppable, but I'm the only one out of everyone I know in real life that could take a Mewtwo without using a Mewtwo. Mewtwo's hole in defense is actually fricken huge, but everyone tends to overlook it.

Also, Gengar (or however it's spelled) was always my wtf pokemon that nobody saw coming. Completely immune to like, half the attacks because they're physical, plus I could just sleep/dreameater people and they'd be like omgwtfhax. Of course, I never found many people with pokemon to play, just like 10 year olds when I was ~12 myself, so it wasn't too challenging. =\

I'll say one more time... I only ever played Red/Blue. Therefore, in my universe, there is no sudowoodo and pikachu is unevolved.

and I will continue to play this game from the red/blue/yellow only standpoint. which is why I won't turn Whorli into a Snorlax, despite my reading that Snorlax became fairly powerful in later versions.

And to Wilkin... my pokemon Blue has a level 100 Ditto. As I've never actually battled another person, I have no idea how effective it is. My guess is it isn't, because it has to take an attack before it can work. Aka, it always goes 2nd. But that is only assuming the other person has all lv. 100s. If they don't, the ditto would probably still be at an advantage.

Kinda lame, really. Personally, I stopped paying much attention after 2nd generation. I own and occationally still play my copy of Fire Red (3rd generation), but my preferred set is the one from gold/silver.

By the way, gyarados sucks ass. I explained this to Chromer in MS earlier. Gyarados is owned by anything with an electric attack. One of the practices in Pokemon Stadium 2 for N64 involves one hitting a level 100 gyarados with a level 60 Pikachu (and we all know how notorious Pikachu is for having terrible stats).

Also, to whoever said Snorlax didn't always own: Not true. Like I said, most people overlook the huge hole in Mewtwo's defense. Physical types were HORRENDOUSLY underused in the days of R/B/Y. Even I didn't learn the complexities of physical/special damage calculation until late into Gold version.

First of all, Dark Arbok kicked ass in the TCG, and I kick ass too. I remember him being used a lot. Hell, there were decks were based around that card. It was pretty much a requirement for any grass deck. 10 damage to each of your opponents pokemon on the field and poison with no coin flipping. Awesomeness.

Magnemite, if allowed the Steel type mod, is a great choice, as is Electabuzz. Mr. Mime can pretty much OHKO any type, and Nidoking is versatile as well as strong physically. I'm just saying I wanna be a pokemon really, regardless of what it is.

2) Sudowoodo is supposed to look like a plant, but it's actually a Rock-type.

3) So sad that Lightknight was banned. Wooper would have made a great addition to Fish's team because it's a Water/Ground, making it immune to Electric and resistant to Rock and Poison, but doubly weak to Grass and loses its Ice resistance.
