Has anyone had problems launching FFR from the new link on the left? "Play FFR Online!"? Falcon mentioned a problem launching yet the access is set to anyone even people not logged in should be able to play.
I am looking into it but I would appreciate if people would post if they were or were not able to play.
Falcon could you post your browser and machine info?
Cheers,

Here ya go. ( NOTE: some of the following information is rather pathetic )
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6
OS: Win98 plus/second edition
Processor: Intel Celeron 433mhz
RAM: 128 MB
GFX: S3D trio2x 8mb ( pathetic tho ok for my 4 yr old rig. lol )
Sound: Yamaha DS-XG Direct Sound ( It can handle almost anything )
Direct-X 8.1
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have to warn you that FFR may not play smoothly on your computer right now for a couple reasons. Flash unfortunately requires a bit of horsepower to push it's graphics around. On most 1ghz+ computers you can attain the full 30fps. As time goes on and we optimize the code, you should see performance improvements.
Although I do know that I can play the game fairly smoothly on my old 600mhz PIII laptop.
With that being said, I don't know why it won't start for you. Still looking into it.. Have you tried logging out and then clicking on the link?

Check your links and file names. some times that can be case sensitive and mess things up. I run into that with my bad spelling and typos some times wen writing the code for my site.

Yeah, linux especially is sensitive to that. The links are correct. I know for a fact that 4 other people have been able to enter. I just cannot for the life of me figure out why it is blocking you.

Seph429,
make sure you have cookies enabled, clear your cache and try again. If that doesn't work, I have provided a direct link available via a news item on the main page.

Same fault here my hairy amigo. I allowed all cookied for this site and droppe my firewall to test that. Perhaps it is something to do with internet access, do either of you have dial up as do I?
For your info, my specs (alot less pathetic)

Ok, I changed a flag. Let me know if it works. It is difficult for me to test here because it always works even if I am logged out.

Yeah man it works fine now cool. Only issue with the new layout is a slight CPU drain with all the other code around the game. This is not a major issue though, and it just means I need to close msn to play - it might even be memory related rather than cpu related

Over the next few days I will try to take out any dead weight in the game that is eating up CPU cycles.
