I was wondering, do you play FFR and other dance simulators for the songs or the skill involved?
I personally like to play along to some of the great songs, So I tend to stick to (((( songs and around that area. So that its possible to both enjoy and play the song.
Ok, so i like to test my skill once in a while, but thats just for the sake of being able to do a harder level, but mostly I'll stick to the beats of the song.

I often will play for the stepfile layout + the song.. kind of a combination of both. I really like both of the first 2 secret levels in the secret genre.
Cheers,

I like to listen to the song's beat (which in most song's case its good) but to do that i got to keep up wit the keyboard but for my vote i put song!

i don't play songs i don't like...henceforth i stay away from rap. I play more for the stepfiles, but usually my fav stepfiles are in my fav songs. On the other hand, i don't like to play easy songs...i mean i really love 'Soul Shift' but its too damn easy, so i just downloaded the song.

I play for both. I don't think anyone plays just to be the best, we all like the music or we wouldn't have ever started playing. I (like most people here) enjoy a challenge also though, so we try harder and harder songs until we can do them.

The best kind of song is a song where the keyboard goes exactly to the beats, or in a Classical piece, sounds like an echo of the piano. Ex. Sonata Clara de la Luna or whatever it's called.

Yeah, I definately like songs that aren't so fast you have to ignore the music to complete, but aren't so slow you get bored. Burnout is cool, 4F73R M3 is good, Metalman goes clubbing.
Et cetera.

I dont play any simulators or FFR, but I usually played for both, Even if the song was very difficult, I could still listen to it as I beat it. But thats just cus im Leet. ;)

I play mostly for the music... such as Rondo Alla Turca and any SGX song. I also like to challenge myself though, so it's a mix. :)

I like to listen to the beat of the song. And I also like to play it if it's a challenge to me also.

Well, what with not liking the majority of songs, I usually play with my speakers turned off.. i have a radio on, it helps me keep the beat while listening to songs I like. :P
