How I got here was stupid. Me and my friends have just figured out how to do SQL injection well enough to log in as any user in crappy webgames with no security. So the bunch of us decided to look through our favorites lists and pick out more games to h4x.

That's when I saw a bookmark named xqsite.com. I thought to myself, "jackpot". I clicked it and I ended up at ffr.com. That put a big stupid smile on my face since I had typed in that web address a billion times but I somehow forgot what it was. Then a wave of guilt. You can guess why.

It hasn't been long since I had last visited here, yet this time triggered all the nostalgia. It reminded me how much I've changed in the past few years and not all of it for the better. Then I looked through my old posts. That sharply reminded me that "not all for the better" was just a knee-jerk reaction kind of love for the good old days.

Some of you haven't even changed. You're just people on the internet, I guess. Much of you are nothing more than a figment of my imagination.

It's 3:20 AM Sunday morning right now. I'm tired and there's a strong tinnitus ringing going in my ears from the show I saw earlier. I've just realized right now something that I couldn't possibly have grasped in late 2002. What I'm doing now seems to be everything to me, but it's hardly anything in the grand scheme of things. I'm not even 18, for God's sake. I'm far from grown up. This is a real foreign feeling that I've never had to deal with before.

I'm not SotN anymore and it's been a long time since I have. But that doesn't matter. I'm going to use this old incarnation of myself to make a promise. With just a few clicks I can see who I really was only a short time ago. I need to take time and think hard about what I am right now. Then wonder who I'm going to be. It's more than a little painful, but this was something that I really needed to realize.

p.p.s. I just played through the Wily Theme and I'm disgusted with my ability. Despite that, hitting Perfects! is alot easier than I remembered.
