Like, there's a thread called "ITT I Post My Pictures" that's made by Synthlight and it'll show like 1000 posts, and then there's this thread with +3000 and it's a topic made by LD and it's called "I'm Gonna Beat Moogy's Postcount!" and all sorts of hilarious threads.

Gosh, I don't know how I could confuse practically the exact same images with similar "at-a-glance" avatars.

It's a mystery that will never be solved.

In case neither of you knew, I (and most others) identify by pictures, not text. You know me by my Kuroneko avatar. It will always be that. I know Moogy by Takohito, Tass by whoever the crap that is, etc. When someone changes their avatar, I'm lost for weeks. If signatures are similar, I will always confuse them because I don't read the text in them, I see the picture as a whole. Both of your avatars are small and blue, though I honestly should not have mistaken that one.

Fish was under the impression that I would create a topic and show everyone the picture. I'd love to, but the problem is that then everyone would expect me to be reprimanded. I'm trying to figure out a way I can show it's probably an accidental showing of the picture, but still make sure it gets lots of attention. My original plan is to post a bunch of pictures of myself in the Post Your Picture Thread, and then the last one it'll be like "Oh, and this is me at the arcade playing Time Crisis 3. *Picture*"
But then, how can I be sure that it'll spread like wild fire in the PYP thread?
So, I'm open to suggestions, but I think it needs to look accidental.

Omega, the best way to go about it is to make it seem as if the filename was what caught you up on it. So, name the image file of the screenshot something related to what it was "supposed" to be and people won't be able to figure it out if they verify it by filenames... which they won't. But hey, it gives you some extra security just in case.

An extra measure of precaution should be taken with Instant Messengers. If you can't or don't want to sign off, at least be Away and do NOT reply to any IMs from regulars.

And you can listen to the radio show if you want to. I'm thinking I'll be talking to mead1 and be like "Aw man...I have time to make one last post, and then I gotta go. Good luck on the radio!" Then I'll sign off, post, stoplistening to the radio, and pray he checks out my post. Oh man, that would be great. "The next song is...OH MY GOD GUYS, LOOK AT THE POST YOUR DESKTOP THREAD"

I'd say give it 4 hours. After 4 hours, everyone can sign back on and it doesn't really matter who deletes it, as long as it get deleted. The specific time of when it wil get posted is....Undetermined. But I'll have one later.

Also: It would probably be helpful to send out a PM to all the Staff members right before it's posted. That way if someone comes in right in the middle of the 4 hour blackout, they'll get a message that says "LOG OFF IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THIS TIME".

The Aftermath

Not a ton of people got to see it, but some really awesome regulars did, so the seeds have been planted. And entertainment was had! If none of them had the sense to save it to their HD, I have this guy in my Sunday school that's regular on the Bemanistyle forums that canbe our inside man. I'll explain later.
