http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=36026 was our discussion of this. Now we vote. The winning movie gets appended into the sticky.

If your favorite movie isn't on the list, then too bad. The general consensus has agreed on these four choices for the movie that best represents the taste of those who visit FFR.

Akira:

I know there was more support for Spirited Away than just myself.

EOE for me. That movie just blew me away. And I think we all know what is going to win Official Anime Song of FFR. German anyone?

Ooh, didn't even think of having a song. We'll have to wait and see =X

Daft Punk's movie for me. Interstella 5555: Proving you can actually have a full-length movie with no dialogue.

Squeek: 2001: A Space Odyssey didn't prove you could have a full length movie with no dialogue? Well, 15 minutes of talking in a 3 hour movie.

Wasn't Interstella like, 4 songs put into one long movie?

Or that was the Cartoon Network thing with the Gorrilaz, rofl.

No, the music videos were actually scenes from the movie. Interstellar 5555 takes place over the entire Discovery album.

Whoever edited my poll: Stop.

People are going to choose that last option and post "omg x wuz da best movie stoopid". The objective of this thread is a followup of what we have already discussed and are now voting on. If the movie you want listed isn't, that's too bad. "Anime sucks" is not a valid option, and it breaks the rules I set forth for this section.

I'm looking at you Tass. If you really hate anime and hate the way I do things, make your OWN discussion topic for Official NON-ANIME film of FFR.

PS - I don't watch many films made in the US. Never saw your little space oddysey.

Interstella 5555 is one of those movies you have to see before you die. I can't say I hold the same opinion for the others.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0062622/ Check it out... directed by Stanley Kubrick, from 1968. Ranked #81 on IMDBs top 250 movies of all time... won an Oscar, nominated for best director...

Yeah, but see, it's not anime.

The topic title says anime.

Regardless, I do realize you and several others on this site have good taste in non-anime films, so come the day I get bored enough to actually rent a movie from Blockbuster for the first time in 10 years, I will look it up.

I'm gonna let this thing run for another week, then we're done with it.

You guys have until Friday, October 28th at 1:11 forum time (exactly one week since my post on the 21st) to finalize voting.

After this ends, we begin official anime songs, since Kilga would just edit the manga to Pita Ten no matter what we did.

Start thinking of your favorite Opening, Ending, and Soundtrack themes. As in, the OP, ED, and a song played during an episode.

Wait a minute. So were having seperate polls for Opening, Closing, and Soundtrack themes right? Then let me give a head's up on these three.

Opening - Let Me Be With You (Full Version) - Chobits
Closing- Shiki no Uta or Who's Theme - Samurai Champloo
Soundtrack - Komm Suesser Todd - End of Evangelion

Interstella 5555 all the way.

EoE is a very, very close second.

PS: Tass, stop hating anime for no reason at all. It's getting very old.

I see people voted Spirited Away and Interstellar just to be annoying.

Spirited Away was good, but doesn't deserve this award, and I just plain don't like any of the others.

Oh well. Favorite anime music should be fun, even though I know that something like Lilium is going to win. Innocent Starter doesn't have a chance ;_;

Lilium!? Pssh yeah right n00b.

How did we suddenly get 6 votes on Spirited Away?

I smell foul play... Too bad I can't figure out how to look at who voted for what.

Is there a way to Mod the polls? Because if EOE doesn't win because someone edited it, I'm gonna be very UnKawaii like. <_<

I was going to post "YES! Spirited Away has pulled to the lead!" but then ya'll'd think I editted the poll. Which I didnt. But even if I did, what are you going to do about it? Besides, I'd totally vote for EOE if it werent for the fact that it isnt a stand alone movie.

WTF How does Spirited Away keep pulling ahead? I literally think something weird is going on now. Spirited Away was a good movie but it wasn't good enough IMO to be the Official FFR movie. Whoever thinks that editing the poll is funny, stop. Because it isn't anymore.

Spirited Away is just so good, whenever someone votes for it, the vote automatically counts twice.

Voting ends!

I'm kinda glad this ended in a tie as I figured out what happened to make the results so strange. Here is my theory.

This post appeared on the main page. Non-forum regs (0 post newbs) saw this thread and saw the one movie they'd ever heard of / seen: Spirited Away. Since the others movies were a mystery to them, they voted for the one they knew about.

Therefore, during the span of discussion for songs, I will re-make a VOTING thread SANS THE POLL. That way, you actually have to post to vote. It keeps the votes unanonymous and allows us to follow any newbie votes that may have occured.

Not to say the newbs can't vote, but there are going to be guidelines. With this public voting, you must state reasons why. If the reasons are lame, your vote doesn't get counted. For example: "Spirited Away cuz it was the only 1 i saw"

I'll get right on it.
