Sheesh. I've had enough of these legitimate companies trying to enforce Internet shorthand. It was that Verizon link a while ago that actually changed LEGITIMATE English sentences into shorthand AUTOMATICALLY, and now they're putting annoying messages in my IM windows telling me to "KNOW IT" like my life depends on it. Not like the list of 300+ shorthand messages on their official site helps any either.

GAIM hates me. I had it before and it just kept crashing. Same with Trillian. I'll never figure it out. It happened on both of my PCs. No matter what I did to try to fix it, the programs just kept crashing.

It doesn't matter; the time I'm on AIM is slim to none.

Mispellings are acceptable in things like usernames and company names, or so I have found out. We all know Wegmans, I hope? The founder's name is "Wegman" and it's his grocery store, so it should be "Wegman's", which is short for "Wegman's Grocery Store". Alas, there is no apostrophe in the title. While it's grammatically incorrect, a company name is a company name.

On topic: Today I was learning about the intronet in my tech class over at Oakland Technical Campus and I came across a section on net ettiquette in this book I was given to read.

They actually mention terms like "lol" and "btw", explaining what they mean and also saying that if used sparingly they are acceptable.

Is this not humorous?
