Nobody seems to like using adverbs anymore. Ever.

"I went slow" is WRONG.

An adverb can modify a verb, an adjective, another adverb, a phrase, or a clause. An adverb indicates manner, time, place, cause, or degree and answers questions such as "how," "when," "where," "how much".

So in this case, you'd use "slowly" to describe how you went.

Please people, add the -ly to the sentences that require them.

If you don't read this you suck.

The only time I might not put "slowly" is if I said something like "I went really slow." Because most of the time I just trust what sounds right as correct, and "really slowly" kinda doesn't sound right.

Just so you know, it is right to use two adverbs together in that example Omega.

But thanks for making the effort.

If I felt like changing it right now, I would.

You'd think his sig would be classified as inappropriate content.

I agree wholeheartedly, Squeek. If an adjective can't be changed to an adverb by using -ly, they use the incorrect form of the verb. Such as, "I did that good". Bleh.

What's wrong with the verb in that sentence? =P

There is no point in ending a sentence with a preposition. Instead of saying "where are you at," you could just say "where are you."

There's nothing wrong with the verb in that statement.

The problem comes from the word "good" being used as an adverb when "good" is clearly ONLY an adjective. The correct word would be "well."

My ex-girlfriend was a grammar head, and she used to say "really quickly," but when I catch myself saying that now, I uncorrect myself so that I don't sound like her. She was a jerk. Plus, like Omega said, two adverbs together usually come out awkwardly.
