So, I missed my one year forum anniversary in April (or March, but I don't count those two n00b posts).

So, I missed my two thousandth post last night.

But I'll be DAMNED if I missed my car's 265,000 mile trip today!

And sigh, I just found out while doing some research for this post that one of my dreams has long since been completed. I was reaching for the 283000 or so mile mark on my car because I thought that that was about the mean distance from the Earth to the moon. Turns out it's about 225000. Now any other planetary goal is far, far out of reach. Even the maximum distance is only about 252000 miles. =(

I'm working on my eleventh trip around the equator so far. Can anyone else come up with a decent goal for my car? Before 300000, though, as that's a given.

272727, because it looks cool.
271828, because it's the number e (rounded, of course) without the decimal point.

That's all I have without thinking too much.

294,055 miles. Just a random number. Guido, what kind of car do you have? Must be at least 15 years to have that many miles on it.

1994 Honda Accord.

I got it in 2000 with 212000 miles on it.

My dad drives a lot for his job, so he put the first 212 on it in just six years. And, since it's a Honda, living until 300000 is not at all unheard of.

By the way, I want the number to have some importance, not just a random number.

Comrade Guido, I am proud to see an enlightened man such as yourself partake in such an overwhleming task. You should consider yourself a modern Magellan.

299,999 miles... you're sure to miss it and forget about it probably by a mile, so you'll be set for 300k
