View Full Version : Cypher should be fired

Cypher is doing a poor job of hosting. I don't think his stories are super in-depth, and anybody with some writing skill could talk to him and find out the direction he wanted to go with it. The main problem is his extreme inactivity. This is a minor problem when he plays, as it just gets him phantoms, but as a host, he needs to be here to update us on the story. I think we should kick Cypher out of his hosting position and get somebody who isn't playing to take over for him. It's not that unreasonable of a request to be here and update the thread, but Cypher seems to have trouble with it.

So, who agrees with me, and if enough agree, who wants to host?

I forgot that not everybody knows this: LD and soccr have seen and talked to him on X-Box Live. They both told him to update the thread and he said he would. He hasn't. He says his bro or somebody is on the computer and won't let him on. This has been a problem before and he's gotten several phantoms because of not being able to get on. I think if somebody can't be active enough to vote in a game they're playing, they shouldn't be hosting.

I dunno... Give him some credit. Maybe the roles just haven't sent their PMs in yet (and I know that's unlikely, but it could be the case). The seer in the jTWG II never PMed us, causing people to yell at us for not keeping things going faster.

But Cypher, if it's not your fault and it's the roles' fault, I think you should just skip their ability and post something. The game's been stagnating for a whole day, and I think people just want something to talk about. (At the very least, please respond to this topic so we can know what's going on :P)

Aye, just give him a chance. It may not be his fault that the thread hasn't been updated. But it may be his fault, also. I say just give him more time to tell YOU guys what's going on, and if you're still not satisfied, bring it up with the council.

I don't know if you believe me or not when I say my brother won't let me get on, but it's true. Right when my brother got off, I quit out of the game I was playing and came to update. Then all of a sudden my mother wants to use the computer, so she basically rushes me off. Sorry if I'm not living up to your expectations, eb, but it's not all in my hands.

No offense, Cypher, but if you're going to be in a TWG the hosts request that you be able to post at least once a day. You rarely, if ever, held up to that in the games you played. If you're going to host a TWG the very very least you need to be online to update when the day comes to a close. If you aren't going to have access to a computer when you need it for the game, don't sign up to play and definitely don't host. That said, you are in charge of this one and I'm not going to vote for you to be removed from that position.

I'm sure Cypher is doing the best he can with the opportunity he has. You're really not giving him enough credit. He's doing what he has to do with the hosting job, even if the absences can be annoying. It could be a lot worse. Just look at it that way.

I"m just saying, someone that's died should take over as host

Cypher, I'm not calling you a liar, I'm doing just the opposite. You've made it clear that you have problems getting onto the computer due to your family, and TWG > your family. Thus, new host would be nice. :P

I wouldn't mind hosting, but I also don't think we should just steal this from Cypher, either.
